Plus, our moral compasses have become so sensitized, war would be the least thing on our minds. Nobody has time from that, it is also bad for business (unless a company owns all the guns and the bandages).
Also, our current technology prevents us from your usual convenient combat. Nukes, which whom may see as a curse, are in fact a blessing since it makes sure that a conflict would benefit no one.
Nationalism was always the least expansionist political ideology since it advocates for each one to have their own without any intervention while also condemning military adventurism.
