I find the article a little bit disingenuous because while they don't outright call it illegal they're heavily implying that it's this shocking thing when really it's not. $1300 isn't a large amount of money when it comes to campaign finances. Politicians like Marco Rubio have racked up tens of thousands of dollars of personal charges on party cards before.
