The only real benefit is that by consolidating power it allows a more even playing field of the cost of services vs drug companies. Against smaller insurance companies the drug companies have a lot more leverage, but with such a monolithic power share the drug companies cannot gauge to such an extent.
Of course this depends on the government actively fighting to lower drug prices. A big if. There are examples of it doing so successfully, there are also examples of the government forbidding cost to have any input in the eligibility of a service.

The waiting lists and the waiting rooms. The subpar public hospitals and low standard doctors. The prioritizing of degenerate trash (criminals, fatties, wogs) over the people who actually pay for the healthcare system (usually healthy tax paying whites). Anyone with money here in NZ has expensive private cover and fly to Australia for any important surgeries/treatments.
