I tell you a secret. the hangover comes because the alcohol is not filtrated properly. there are good and bad alcohols. when you brew a beer for big events like the octoberfest, brewery's don't filtrate their beer properly because they have to produce huge amounts in a short time. it's not about the brand or the price. it depends from company to company on how fast they produce. this is why you get a huge headache when drinking beer at huge events, even when you don't get a headache from the brand normally.

I beg to differ on the beer there. According to the Reinheitsgebot a beer is made only with water, barley, hops, and yeast(which was added later for obvious reasons). Most craft beers in America use only those ingredients, I make my own beer desu so I know.

10 years ago I would've agreed with you, but the explosion of American microbrews and craft beers has really changed things.
I was actually thinking of starting a side business importing interesting american breweries (not the piss we're so famous for), while I was there I only found 2 suppliers doing it and they were only importing a half dozen brands. If you find Sierra Nevada's "Torpedo" IPA anywhere give it a shot. It's not a personal favorite, but it's available in Berlin and at least it would show you a different side to american beer.

Going to Germany in July IF I learn to somewhat at least speak german meh-tier. It's an EU program for finding eastern europeans for jobs "that no one of your countrymen wants to work". So we're on a crash course diet of learning german (~4 academic hours of learning every single day, 6-7 days a week). Im nervous of my ability to learn it in time and I feel retarded about my learning pace. So how's it in Germany if speak a little bit English and learn at the same time more german? Will I be a total outcast and no one will speak to me? Will my employer (which will be assigned by the program managers and I chose to be "Industrie Handler") dismiss me if they figure out that Ich spreche Deutsche nicht gut and prefer for a time being English? Shiners pretty good but it reminds me of Samuel Adams, crafty but not entirely "craft" to be a bit of a pretentious beer fag. I like Dogfish Head, Lagunitas, Shlafly, Great Lakes too and any others I can get my hands on.
If you can get Lagunitas their IPA is great as is Dogfish. Dogfish also has a few more funky kind of beers that I like to switch up to sometimes.
