>The riveting true story of the women who launched America into space.

>In the 1940s and 50s, when the newly minted Jet Propulsion Laboratory needed quick-thinking mathematicians to calculate velocities and plot trajectories, they didn't turn to male graduates. Rather, they recruited an elite group of young women who, with only pencil, paper, and mathematical prowess, transformed rocket design, helped bring about the first American satellites, and made the exploration of the solar system possible.

>For the first time, Rise of the Rocket Girls tells the stories of these women--known as "human computers"--who broke the boundaries of both gender and science. Based on extensive research and interviews with all the living members of the team, Rise of the Rocket Girls offers a unique perspective on the role of women in science: both where we've been, and the far reaches of space to which we're heading.

Do you think that in a couple of hundred years or so, written history will tell a completely different story thanks to all of this feminist and anti-white revisionism?
>>
>>70015904
So how does this not prove that all this bitching about discrimination is completely unfounded, given that women in the 50's weren't being kept at home, but instead worked on some of the most important science in the nation?

I mean, the 50's are traditionally held up as this era of great oppression, and I'm even seeing a nigger in that picture.

I guarantee you when we go to Mars, despite it being the work of 99% white men to get there, they will find a black female astronaut who will be the first to walk. Normally I wouldn't feel bad or care but shit like this won't make blacks smarter or be more interested in science. They will just gloat and be like we wuz space marines and shit and continue killing each other.

I picture our history being much like the mayans: nothing left but 8 pages of jaguar god comics.

>calculate velocities and plot trajectories

So while the men were busy designing the rocket and laying down the fluid mechanic theory that allowed the rocket to even make it off the launch pad the women were doing the bitch work of plugging numbers into equations? Sounds about right.
>>
>>70015904
They didn't break any boundaries of gender though. Women had always been involved in "computing" since it was seen as fucking boring and tedious work. Why do women insist on thinking that science has always been some kind of boy's club?
>>
>>70015904
Seems to me like they could easily do that job from the kitchen.
>>
>>70015904
>implying American rocket science wasn't lifted wholesale from work done by German rocket scientists obtained in Operation Paperclip

I wonder how much that they got wrong too.

Well, we live in a time of feminist historical revisionism. It reminds me of the blacks.

>WE WUZ GODDESSES! DAT OPPRESSIVE MALE WUZ KEEPIN US DOWN. LETS SUCK A LOT OF DICK (literally) AND CLAIM ALL THESE SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS TO SPITE DAT PATRIARCHY!

So assuming this is actually true, you could obviously tell by looking at those women that they come from a different time. Nowadays, they would just stand around NASA and take slutty selfies, while their male co-workers were doing all the work. Then, NASA would hold some type of "women in science" event, and the entire thing would be pushing "girl power" and giving women credit for all the work the male employees did.

If those women in the 40s and 50s did contribute to the space program, good for them. But that was a far different time.

Time to just accept the fact that women have the innate need to be constantly patted on the back and validated.
>>
>>70017330
In a sane society, that need would be fulfilled by her husband and children.

>>70017437
Todays society thats the job for Uncle Sam since none of these cunts want to marry until it is too late

This...
This is a surprising difficult redpill to swallow.

we're not going to mars. We didnt pass the great filter. Almost every large white country has a white minority in the 18-30 range with that trend just increasing. Also socialist programs have caused serious dysgenics among that remaining population. It's going to take a miracle to reverse this course. Japan/China may be able to pull something off but their dates for a moon landing are 2030 and beyond...not promising

Well hey, you can always spam fedora memes and scream at guys in all caps to "MAN UP" and submit to women on /pol/. /pol/ does it all the time. It hasn't worked one iota and it will not work, but the people that do it seem to have nothing else to do. It's like repeatedly slamming your head into a brick wall.

Just shows that kikes, feminism, and the destruction of traditional values has turned women into unambitious, vain, hypocritical, lazy, retarded cum-dumpsters for nigger semen.
>>
>>70015904
But they didn't design the rockets, they only added numbers to the equations men had made to predict trajectories and velocities etc
>>
>>70015904
WTF!
According to the feminist leftist narrative women were always kept away and held out of these types of jobs, how is this possible with their narrative?

You mean they are not being honest?
>>
>>70018604
to be quite fair most men today are cucks and can't do the simplest stuff

True story: Before electronic calculators a "calculator" was a human being predisposed to doing complex calculations in their head.

I've read old books where a scientist says "Get me a calculator, we need to check these numbers", summoning a person that then does the calculations in their head faster than can be done on paper with a slide rule by the scientist.

So get this.

This pro-woman book is actually about a practice of turning women into appliances to be used at the whim of men.

Dish washer.
Laundry folder.
Sandwich maker.
Calculatior.

I don't think readers of this book will come to the conclusions that the author may have wished for.

Why are women always pushing for more of them in stem? Men don't complain when women dominate things like nursing, women shouldn't complain when men dominate things like engineering. men and women simply choose to do different things
>>
>>70019608
Fair enough. This link is also very relevant to the kike poisoning and subversion of American public education over the past few generations...

Fun aside.
My friend showed me a post on Tumblr about how the first book ever written was by a Nubian Princess.
With not source attached the claim of course.

Even the first wave was unfounded. Kike feminists in the early 1900s acted like women were frequently getting divorced and left in the gutter, in the era before no-fault divorce was legal.

So the lesson learned here is that a bunch of engineers left over from designing airplanes in WWII, and a back room full of broads with #2 pencils got us to the moon 50 years go, but that with supercomputers and endless H1B visa engineers, we couldn't do that today.

Trump was right. Stop the H1B visa madness, and put our own engineers and back room broads back to work, and MAGA..

this might be why we were losing the space race until after WWII and we recruited a bunch of former Nazi German men.

The US lost in missiles and satellites. We only started to get ahead in the last 1960s.

I actaully have designed a few sattelites. There are very few women involved.
