We're having a referendum about an agreement/treaty (?) the European Union is trying to make with Ukraine.

A no vote would show that the Netherlands wants less EU and closer bonds with Russia.
It'd be a smack in the face against Europhiles, even though there probably won't come much from it.

Even stronger considering that those people are more likely to vote.

The referendum is non-binding though, so the government can just go ahead and sign the agreement anyways even if we say no.
Also at least 30% of the registered voters need to show up for the referendum to be considered legitimate
