Studied the American Civil War for a first year uni paper years back, way before i lurked /pol/. Was one of the first subjects that I had to really research as I knew very little and subsequently I became red pilled about historical revisionism, media bias and the ongoing propaganda, and the abject failure of democracy. Grew to really respect the Confederates, despite the loss of the Confederacy.

New Jersey here.
I know we're North, but this past weekend I learned that I had a Confederate cemetery close to my house. So of course I visited.
Basically thousands of guys in unmarked graves that died as prisoners on Peapatch Island. Pretty sad, but there's a huge monument for them in the back of the cemetery.
Worst part is, it's one of those kind of places that there should be class trips to, and it took me years just to realize it was there.

There are great and influential historical writers, presidents, psychologists, scientists, and basically fucking everything who still gloss over the civil war and use that glossing over in their judgements about history. It's silly.
And they still think republicans were pro slavery and anti civil rights. They still fucking think the battle flag of the army of Virginia is the CSS flag. How can people be that ignorant?
Even by flying the battle flag to signify the pride for the south, the respect and honor of Lee and other commanders that rarely happened again, the flag symbolizing states rights and Lee's difficult choice between the country and what he believed in, ignorant leftist refuse to research or grasp the significance at all.
