Belgium is 50% socialist, because Belgium is a composite country made up of two majority populations (and a small German-speaking minority): The Flemish, and the Walloons. The Flemish are the smart, efficiënt, money-earning of the two, while the Walloons are backwards farmers without a dime to spend.
This translates to the entire Walloon segment of the country being socialist, because they vote for distribution of wealth from the Flemish side. And as we all know, the prime directive of socialism is to destroy Western culture because of their cultural marxist ways, and their multiculturalism.
As for Brussels, well, would it surprise you that this used to be a Flemish city that has been taken over in terms of population by Walloons?

Not really, though. Mass immigration has been ongoing since the 70's. Before that, it was labour migration under the auspices of a right wing government. But when the left came to power, they decided to keep up the same level of immigration, but never send anyone back.

Belgium was the only country in the EU to offer full citizenship after only three years of residence. So for years they were pouring into Europe and heading straight for Brussels, and being home of the EU, this was not only ignored, but actively encouraged.
