Polish guy here. Refugees aren't essentially bad, but there are problems with this particular refugee crisis.
First and foremost, only ~21% of the refugees are actually from Syria. The rest are from the Middle East and North Africa who pretend to be refugees but are actually economic migrants. Meaning they apply for refugee status, but are coming to Europe mainly for the social benefits and job opportunities (hence why they mainly go to Sweden, Germany, France, and Britain). This is a problem because European countries already have natives who are homeless and/or having problems finding jobs; not to mention social services can't be supported if you have more recipients than the productive means to support them.

Second, EU countries such as Sweden and Germany are accepting en masse of these "refugees" unregulated and unchecked despite the fact they clearly don't have the realistic resources and means to support them. On the hilarious side, some of these refugees pretend to be teenagers or preteens despite the fact that they are clearly in their 20's and, at worst, their early 30's. The reason for this is because if they apply as refugee children, they get fast-tracked through the system and it's more likely they won't get deported compared to an adult refugee. Countries like Sweden don't call them out on it because they believe the doing so and the process to do it is dehumanizing along with it being reminiscent of the Nazi regime (to countries like Sweden). On the horrific side, these refugees mainly come from Muslim countries with strong presences of Islamist terrorist organizations. As I mentioned earlier, these refugees are not regulated/checked so a portion of them coming in are terrorists pretending to be refugees (Paris attacks, for example). Using Far-Left logic, let's say (for shitz and gigglez) the % of Muslims in the world that are Islamist Terrorist is only 1% (.01; it's bigger but that's another different argument we can). Out of just 213,000, that 2130 terrorists that can now easily move around and attack most of Europe because they were given EU citizenship. Btw, this doesn't include native Europeans who become radicalized by organizations like ISIS - so you can imagine the number even bigger. Also to add, you have pussy contemporary European police (like in Sweden) who really don't do shit against this real threat because they fear severe political backlash. Countries like Sweden whites out/censors pictures of minority criminals; it's that fucking PC over there.

However, everyday they become more official and legitimized because the actual police don't stop them let alone even come into these communities because they fear them. Not to mention, some Europe countries (I think Britain had a case where the judge ruled they were doing nothing wrong) legally allowed them to patrol enforcing (sometimes violently) Sharia Law within “their” communities.

Especially one of this magnitude, to admit a mistake this bad would be political suicide even for the whole party (not just some individuals involved). However, as a result ironically, we're seeing Far-Right nationalism starting to make a comeback across Europe because the people can't be fooled for long and not everyone denies reality of the problems this crisis is creating.
