We have these threads once or twice a month. Bought an e-reader just for the books I get on /pol/, have a couple gigabyte now in my collection.

I know this is in poor taste, but we have to keep the thread bumped to defeat the shills and sliding.

NO SORROW FOR SOROS
>>
>>69979631
Been on /pol/ for a while but have never seen this thread. Started something similar ( /pol/ - /lit/ ) but it received similarly low attention.
> Great to have this but i was just wondering how involved /pol/ were or if it's a small dedicated group who talk elsewhere.

Always seemed these valuable things die when people are not talking about the books.

Anonymous Conservative's "Evolutionary Psychology Behind Politics" is an essential for future weeks, it talks about r/k selection theory, one of the most mind-blowing recent theories surrounding liberal and conservative politics.
>>
>>69980626
Biohistory by Jim Penman is also a very good read, I highly recommend it for future weeks btw
>>
>>69975896
I'll download these later, thanks op.

Getting the timing right for these threads is strange, making me think there must be high turnover in the userbase here. It used to be that these threads only worked in the middle of the US user day. Then they only seemed to work in the middle of our day. Seems hit and miss, but when you get the timing right they really take off. I saw one once that became a rolling thread, with massive arguments about political philosophy. Was good shit.
>>
I appreciate the reading material Anons, cheers

One of the books caught my attention - Erectus walks among us. Did anyone read it? Is it any good?

It's from march. I just checked the reviews on amazon, it has a lot of positive reviews and a bunch of one stars saying it was too racist.

Any idea how I could download these straight to my Kindle? On holiday so can't access a laptop at the moment

>>
>>69981477
Shit. I had to mod my kindle with Google Play to get a copy of Mega that would work on it. That's the onyl way I know how.
>>
>>69975896
Is 1984 included in the collection? If not, it needs to be.
>>
>>69981527

I downloaded the Android Mega apk file and its installed and seems to be working, it's just the link from the OP takes me to the kindle app store rather than opening the app.
>>
>>69981699
As long as you can get Mega installed, should be enough to get the actuall files. Then you need stuff to unpack and sort them in the filesystem.

Check out http://fbreader.org/content/, then install bookshelf, filecommander, and unrar -- should be enough to just download them straight to Kindle

Might have to look for some tutorials on setups.
>>
bumping, thank you. eventually i hope to get these books in physical form, I'm not a fan of e-reading, but it's amazing how quickly we can access literature now
>>
>>69981652
How is 1984 politically incorrect? It's a normie mainstream book.

My gf got me a kindle. I tried loading some PDFs on it but the formatting was shit. Epubs work much better.
You have better luck? Know any good conversion tools?
>>
>>69981477
Download on laptop. Zip, and then email it to yourself.

Access your email on kindle using the amazon app store to get whatever app for email you used. I.e gmail, yahoo, outlook.

If your Kendle can't access the store and doesn't have a file explorer then fuck the kendle is worthless.

Another way would be to send unzipped version over Dropbox/google drive from laptop and then get the app for kindle.

There's probably a built-in way to sync ebooks over kindle and other devices but I can't help you without owning a kindle

You should be able to find an app on Amazon store called officesuite for free. If you dont like how that works, try the Adobe Acrobat reader, its in the store somewhere.

We should get more Frankfurt school, crit theory, and cultural marxist thinkers like Gramsci in there. It would be funny to see more people versed in the new left argue with the "cultural marxism is a myth" shills.
>>
>>69982228
I don't understand who would deny cultural marxism's existence or legitimacy. any left leaning type would be into it, and it's already kind of taught in university. although I doubt its overall effectiveness, I think it's pretty real

You should add:
last exit to utopia - jean francois revel
propaganda - edward bernays
the socialist phenomenon - igor shafarevich
the rape of the mind - A.M. Meerloo
new lies for old - golitsyn

That's the thing, the only one's who deny it are people that haven't studied critical theory or the "identity" turn in marxism, and just parrot the social media tier of propaganda memes. I was leftist when I was much younger and very stupid, and really got into post modernism, crit theory, all that mess. It's an instant sign the person you're talking to is a robot programed by garbage propaganda if they're unironically denying what that kind of leftism was trying to accomplish. Then again, denying the existence of ideology is something you would expect someone in the mindset of "hegemony" to be up to, and the Left has a surplus of useful idiots ready to glance at a position then adopt it with militant zeal.

I would like to add the controversy of zion by Douglas Reed.

yeah totally feel you on that. used to be a big marxist in uni because I was a teenager and shit and it sounded good on paper, then moved into the postmodern shit but focused more on literature overall. cultural marxism was real. my normie peers could rarely be bothered to read the books we were assigned in these courses and just talked out their asses, but my professors were intelligent and were really pushing an agenda that my peers ate up during lectures.

left wingers these days (liberals, progressives, democratic socialists, whatever the fuck we call it in [current year]) complain that conservative minded people are brainwashed or just blindly follow leaders, but I guarantee that these same people ate up what they were fed in college and are just spewing the words of 3-4 of their professors.

Great thread. Thank you all for collecting and sharing these books.

It would be even better if /pol/ could organise seminar threads on planned reading, discussing the material and making conclusions/plans (reading expository literature with no actions following based on new info is plain autism).
Oh, one can dream this dank memery parade would create more pearls than turds some day.

K, I'll try to organise something closer to the end of the week.

I think I'll pick a book or two from most recent /pol/ pack, will make an outline of it (so pol/ack could evaluate if the book would worth time spent on reading), after very quick reading and structure analysis, and propose end goals for the coming week ("what is author's point", "is his argument sound", "how can we use this info", "what other works influenced his point" etc.) for participants to accomplish while reading analytically.

So participants could bump the thread, sharing their thoughts and findings, proposing solutions and/or practical application of the book for our Buryat throat singing board visitors' lives.

I'll try it mostly to test Mortimed Adler's method of analytical reading, but will be glad for any other people participating.

Isn't the user base going up?

Also oldfags who have read it all might not feel like devoting hours to discussing [insert liberal ideology] and would rather see what Trump is doing and then go back to work.

>>69981059

Turner Diaries is an unmitigated piece of shit that only adds to the image of the mindless hate mongering racist. Read things with substance.
>>

>i hope to get these books in physical form

Why? So the DA has more ammunition? For god's sake don't order them from Amazon and have them sent to your home address.

What anon did by having a dedicated reader for /pol/ books is by far the safest. But what's your point of having them in book form? Impress your visitors? Carry them around like a redpill badge?

There's really no point other than attention whoring that I can see.

Someone needs to put together a redpillbook torrent

Here's a fiction book, it's an old one but it's good.
Basically these high school girls join a school sorority. It's run by a teacher who is this crazed feminist, the girls slowly get brainwashed leading them to trouble and murder.

Good warning of the damage SJW's can do.
