I am a white American and I voted for him.
I am working class and I believe in the worldwide unity of the working class. Which means I believe in white American workers and black American workers uniting. As many black Americans and workers around the world wanted Obama to beat McCain and Romney, I voted for Obama.
Of course I support the Vänsterpartiet in Sweden, although I am also supportive of parties and formations to the left of them.
Democrats have frontloaded Southern primaries to give more weight to black voters. Given the changing demographics of the electorate and white flight from the Democratic party Obama had just enough support to win the primary. Then McCain fucked up with picking Palin as well as the economy collapsing under Bush which led to Obama.
