Here is how the story really went.

Women's suffrage isn't the problem. There's no reason a grandmother who owns her own property shouldn't give her two cents to the political process. At least until she's a delusional person on a rich state pension in which case she surrenders her vote again.
The issue is too many immature or senile men and women get to vote. They are still in their delusional stage of life where they let idealism trump long-term ideas, or at the end of it.
People on welfare get to vote despite contributing literally nothing to anything, just absorbing money from actual workers.
It's clear that democracy works, just not the form we have. You can't just hand everyone the vote. Only property owners/consistent rent payers and self sufficient people should get the vote, regardless of their age and gender, if they can prove they CONTRIBUTE and have responsibilities and obligations to fulfill. Similarly military personnel of every age, but any other recipient of state money invalidates your stake in the political process.
To vote, you must first prove you have achieved the criteria worthy of it. Even then, you still only get one.
These issues dominated the debates in the past. Suffrage as an idea basically hijacked a greater debate over voting rights and who gets them.
Frankly even in such a situation where you heavily reduced the number of voters, you would probably still have to forbid any female votes on issues of national security and border control, and hand them control of the health service as a compromise because that's the only place the gibsmedat mentality actually works for the benefit or ordinary people (and even then it's a compromise).

I lost my job last year because i developed a chronic health issue. Spent all my money on therapy. I seem to be in remission now, but can't work yet. Depression can turn into long term depression and that can turn into manic depression which is BPD. BPD just means you suck at handling your emotions and unstable life. It literal hell. A lot of people don't even get diagnosed to the fact the average person can't even tell they are bipolar. Most meds do absolutely nothing to help keep you stable, not to mention the docs are always playing around with your meds. Most of the meds that stabilize only keep the person subdued, so they don't even have normal feelings like pure enjoyment or sadness. The meds make them into a zombie most of the time and when they get off it you see a huge change in their behavior and personality.
Legit bipolar is a whole nothing world of hell.

Same guy you replied to, but that actually happened to me, except way worse. I told a friend that I had been thinking about offing myself, and she called the cops. Ended up going to a mental hospital, which they told me would just be for 24 hours, and since it was voluntary, I could leave.
What happened, was I got taken to a facility for people without insurance. The doctor would only show up 2x a week, and if you were lucky, you might get to see them during one of those times. The doctor I had was some worthless bindi, who got mad at me when I pointed out that she was reading someone else's chart, and that I wasn't the person she kept insisting she was talking to. This caused her to decide that they were going to try to keep me for 2 weeks. The facility didn't have enough beds, so i had to sleep on a plastic lawn chair, The place was way overcrowded, the only food we received was whatever the local hospital had leftover, which usually meant you might get a stale sandwich for dinner, and some shitty single serving of cereal with sour milk in the morning. The staff was mostly college students, and the one dude was sexually abusing some of the male patients, and getting them to keep quiet by buying them shoes from Walmart. There were 0 activities, and they would not allow you to take a nap during the day, so you would have to sit around for 16 hours with nothing to read, nothing to watch, and nothing to occupy your time. There was a guy there who would sneak into the bathroom and eat his own shit, and keep a turd in his pocket to munch on. There were a bunch of crazy, violent guys who should have been kept separate, but instead, they put them with the rest of us. The only other person there who wasn't batshit, was a kid who got drunk and passed out on a bench, and the cops had brought him in, and they even made that kid stay for like 3 days. The would barely allow phone calls, and I only got out because my family threatened to sue if I was not released.

It was when I finally spent enough time working to subdue my hyper-emotional states and learned to finally convince myself that the shit that used to set me off really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things did I finally conquer the 20-year long urge to self-terminate that started at age 12.
Self-mastery is the key to finding happiness, NOT letting yourself run around like a hyper-emotional woman who can't ever just be content to exist in their own headspace.
