Story time (it might be a bit long but I think it's important to read):
I have a female coworker at my work who's in her mid 40s and she has two boys around the age of 10-13 who go to a school in Toronto (oh yeah, I'm from Toronto btw, ignore the flag 4chan things I'm from America 4 sum raisin). Anyway, today she was on the phone around the end of the day obviously talking to her husband, and her tone of voice was really concerned yet with a strong hint of annoyance. After her call was over I asked her what was up, and she told me that apparently her husband got into a fight with the teacher over how the teacher had been handling her eldest son's education.
Apparently her eldest son (who's 13) used to be really good in school, but lately he's been a bit less focused and distracted and his grades were starting to slip. I told her it's probably because he's going through puberty and he's starting to have girls on his mind, and she agreed. So I asked her why she and her husband was upset, and she told me that they had been trying to get some help from the teacher on this issue, and to see if they could somehow teach the kid maybe a little bit differently now that he was going through some changes. You know, do what teachers do and help kids grow and not stagnate.
Well apparently, the teacher did not reply to them for over 3 months on this topic, and she and her husband had been trying to get some responses from the teacher desperately to try to see if they could improve her son's work. Well the husband on this day had finally had enough and had gone to the school to talk to the teacher.

Now this is where it gets interesting for you, /pol/. Apparently, the teacher told the husband that their son was no longer a priority as they had just received two new kids who had migrated from Syria as refugees, and that all of the school's (and teachers') attention were currently on these refugee children and helping them get accommodated and educated. They told the husband that he and his wife should start considering how other people have it more rough and that they need to start realizing other people need more help. This is what pissed off the husband and the wife (my coworker) so much. I even said to her as she described this: "But you are the parent, of course your focus is only on your child. He should come first, regardless of how many refugees there are". And yet apparently the teacher did not listen to that protest from the husband, saying he was being ignorant and that the school had a very big mandate to focus on these migrant children.
That's the key part of the story right there. When she mentioned the school having this "big mandate" it lit up a lightbulb above my head....is this the product of the great Soros conspiracy? Is this big mandate coming down from the big man himself?
How deep does the rabbit hole go? How widespread and how many payments under the table have been made?
I told my coworker, it seems ridiculous that the school and the teachers should focus on some kids more than others. That's not what they're supposed to do. They are supposed to focus on all children equally and give them all the support they need to become upstanding and well-educated adults. She obviously agreed but she realized that the school would not help her son anymore and she is considering moving him to a new school, just because of this favouritism that is arising. But the question in my mind was: "would she be able to find a new school that didn't favour these refugees over the native born kids?".

Apparently the teacher had been neglecting the parents and the son for a longer time, it's just the email lapse of 3 months that finally highlighted that.
