I accidentally walked into one of their 'African-American' safe spaces and they threw eggs at me until I left. They were hooting "whitey" and "cracker."

One of them straight up left work for two hours to cry and ponder suicide. If I, as a straight white male did this, I wouldn't have a job to come back to. I went to my college's LGBT safe space to find out what it was. As a cis white male, there were microaggressions everywhere. I pushed through them, and talked to the manager, asking her why there's nothing comparable for heterosexual people there. Was just curious, polite, and non judgmental, IMO. I mentioned my friend whose girlfriend cheated on him and he killed himself as an example of a cis white male who could have used some help. She told me to read the book of a woman who was CEO of Facebook. That's all I remember. Never went back and forgot to read the book. It had a bunch of brochures and magazines and shit. Free coffee, which I wish we had had in the science building.
