I don't have anything against it, I just can't do it. Frankly, I think outright prohibition of any drug is detrimental. My experience having been through the addiction services system in the US is that taking a punitive stance is bad for everyone. I've been forced to go to treatment and I could get in right away, but when I actually wanted treatment I couldn't get in because it was full of people who were there to get sentences reduced.

If you just reform the system to make rehab about resocialization and fund it with sin tax on substances, I think we'd be a lot better off
