Since the dawn of man, men and women have co-existed in a symbiotic way. Women value men for their ability to provide security and resources, while men value women for sex and for birthing and raising their biological offspring (which requires fidelity). It is a mutally beneficial exchange.
What socialism does is that it severs this bond. The state becomes women's surrogate husband. It provides the security and resources women crave by taking it from all men in the form of taxes. That is why women overhelmingly always vote for politicians who promise more socialism and welfare. This in turn results in lowered birthrates, because women no longer need to fullfill their end of the bargain to get what they want.
This in conjuction with cultural marxism, which goes hand in hand with socialism, also leads to promiscuity amongst women because the state will provide even if they do become pregnant without a man to support them. This alienates men because they are unwilling to provide resources for women who might potentially have other men's offspring.
To men, fidelity and loyalty is very important in a potential wife so as to ensure that the offspring they have to provide for are their own.
No man wants to sacrifice themselves and their resources to raise other men's children. Those that do are reffered to as cucks.
What socialism essentially does is turn all men into cucks through taxation while simulatenously creating a widening rift between men and women.
Socialism and welfare also results in the rise of single mothers who in turn raise effiminate and cucked men or daughters that follow in their footsteps.
This is why some men like to blame women for how fucked up the world has become, but it is men who have allowed this to happen.

Well, the largest difference is how people's attitudes affect the economy.
A lot of social problems have been going on here lately and to be honest, Finns are quite angry at the government currently. Also, the policies that dictate trade here are ridiculous, the most restricted and "nannied" as possible, so businesses avoid Finland. So much so, that the unemployment rate is at 11% now.

It only works in certain conditions, the Scandinavian countries used to be that perfect condition: A happy homogeneous population willing to work for each other to make a good country, to help their fellow men.
Now the world is different and it doesn't work as well, especially with refugees and the EU borders.
Not only that, but there are other problems as well. When you have a university degree available to literally everyone, overeducation is a real problem, and when youths who have been told their entire life to "get a uni degree, it's secured a job!" gets out of university only to find out - there are no jobs, they very rarely settle for less than what they expected going into university.
Then there's other issues such as freedom.
You are perfectly free to do whatever whenever, but within the boundaries set by the government. There is no TRUE freedom or success.
If you succeed in one of these countries the gain is minimal, so there's simply no interest in taking a risk.
These are just some of the things, I could go on about how shitty the education system is (higher levels) or how healthcare system is a joke, but those are deeper issues.
Of course, there are good things as well - for example, life (granted you're not lower class), is always going to be alright. You'll never have to worry about starving or losing the roof over your head.
Everything comes at a cost.
