What is this guy even doing? It's literally impossible for him to win, what is he trying to accomplish? He needs 120% of all remaining delegates to barely have a chance
>>
Nigga do you even understand a brokered convention? If he pulls a few delegates here and a few delegates there then he almost guarantees the nomination.

He's the only candidate left on the conservative side who isn't either batshit insane or tea party. He'll automatically get the nomination if it goes to a second ballot.
>>
He does what Soros tells him to do.
>>
He's taking delegates from Trump. If he drops out, Trump will solidly pass 50% in every single state if he's head to head with Cruz. In some states he will pass 60%. Most likely, he's also aiming for money and fame before he runs for another office.

Kasich is also the likely nominee in a brokered convention, but unless the primaries are rigged, there won't be one. Paul Ryan won't be the nominee as he'd obviously lose and destroy his career when he's meant to be the 2020 nominee against President Clinton, however Trump interrupted that puppet show.
>>

>do you even understand a brokered convention

falling for the talk show memes.

look retard. the brokered convention is all talk. if they went completely against the popular vote by putting a faggot like kasich as the GOP they would destroy the party.
>>
>>69892590
>>69892689

he's getting paid to stay in and try to stump the trump into a brokered convention

i mean kasich doesn't have a real job. and this isn't real work. so why not hang out , give speeches, take money from establishment republicans and soros and live well
>>
>>69893082
They'd rather destroy the party and put Hillary in office than let Trump win. The republicans and democrats have the same lobbyists who want to manufacture overseas and they pay the politicians to look the other way. Trump doesn't serve the lobbyists and would threaten their shenanigans. It's only logical for the GOP to destroy itself as Hillary is more of a republican than Trump is.
>>
He's a GOP plant for no other purpose than to fuck with things.
>>
>>69892689
It would go to Cruz. Maybe Kasich as VP, and Rubio a prominent cabinet position.

On consequential ballots, the RNC hopes to promote someone like Paul Ryan.
>>
>>69893242
sure, but that wouldnt just be a current election thing. the republican party would be broken.

im suprised the democrat party hasnt yet with the obvious clinton rigging. maybe sanders and trump can both run independent and screw both parties
>>
>>69892689
>lel I watch the news guys I'm so informed
Idiot. He's staying in bc the establishment told him to and he'll be promised a cabinet seat or something. He can't be nominated based on current rules, so he's been told to stay in until they change the rules or he gets a better deal.
>>
>>69892689
His top donor is the same as Hillarys I belive
>>
>>69892590
If kasich is the nominee im voting for Hillary and Im a conservative

He wants to handicap Trump so he has to accept some bullshit VP so they can try to JFK him, as they did to Reagan.

May as well, kasich will do the same policies, but Republicans will be blamed for it. Just like the stimulus.
>>
>>69893082
It doesn't work like that. You have to get a majority of delegates on the first ballot to win the nomination, otherwise there's a contested convention. It's been quite some time a candidate hasn't been able to get a majority. This is just bad luck for Trump, because he would most likely have gotten over 1237 if the candidate field was small from the beginning instead of 17.

Since a great deal of delegates happen to be donors, special interests, etc. most of them hate Trump, so he doesn't really stand a chance. Cruz would be favored to win.

>>
>>69892590
Don't you know if you win Ohio you automatically become the nominee of the party of Reagan?
>>
He's in it just to deprive Trump of a few delegates here and there. Maybe he thinks he can get nominated in a brokered convention if the rules get interpreted or changed to allow it.
>>
>>69893829
I could add to this: Cruz being mad at Trump for the sex scandal story is mostly just theatrics to shove aside his principles. He's going to fuck over Trump by not accepting the VP slot.
>>
has little marco dropped out yet?
>>
what will actually happen if a brokered convention happens? how will the candidate be decided?
>>
>>69895580
Like a month ago
>>
>>69895792
All the delegates vote in the first round for whoever they are bound to, or whoever they like most if they are unbound.
If no one gets 1,237 votes in this round, then all delegates become unbound and the mass pay-off to vote anti-Trump kicks in.
>>
>>69892590
He's an evil Soros pawn trying to derail the process.
>>
Soros gave him 200,000$
>>
>>69892590
He wants the Republican establishment to hand him the nomination at a brokered convention. They could maybe get away with giving it to Cruz, but if they give it to Kasich they've basically destroyed the party. Republicans will despise their vote being overridden by such a large degree.
>>
>>69892590
He's doing God's work to cause a brokered convention and block a Trump nomination

She will surey win
>>
>>69896734
He does believe he can get the nomination. If he just wanted to stop Trump he would drop out and endorse Cruz. He hasn't done that, ipso facto he's playing to win.

>A Belgian knows more about American politics than an American.

That "Talk show meme" is how Abraham Lincoln, the father of the Republican party, secured his nomination. I don't get this destroys the party stuff either. All the people that never voted and wont vote again, cross-over democrats and angry protest vote Republicans, who couldn't even give Trump a majority of the delegates, being upset or turned off are gonna destroy the Republicans? As soon as it's any Republican vs Hillary, they are back in the fold or were a one-time Trump voter who wasn't factored into the thinking to begin with.

Bush and Reagan had a similar campaign to Trump vs establishment. To appease the establishment they let Bush be VP nominee.

Bush became VP The Hinkleys were family friends of the Bush's. A Hinkley shot Reagan.

If Trump picks an appeasement VP candidate history may repeat itself.

>>69897186
>that loss of momentum.
Ohio was literally the state that killed Trump. The only state Kasich has won.

THat's the answer to OP's question. What is Kasich doing? He's stumping Trump.
>>
His name is pronounced exactly like "käsig" which translates to "cheesy" and my people would have a good laugh whenever witnessing President Cheesy.
>>
>>69893082

and if Trump was the nominee it'd also destroy the party.

Actually to tell the truth, there is no way to not destroy the Republican party. Donald Trump has already destroyed it.

If he's the nominee, it will split the vote there will even be Republicans voting for Hillary Clinton rather than have Trump in office.

If Trump is NOT the nominee he may run 3rd party, and again, split the Republican vote. Even if he doesn't run 3rd party his die hard supporters are Trump or nothing and will not support the Republican nominee.

If Bernie loses the primary to HIllary he will endorse her, he's already been quoted to say he would (talking with Jesse Ventura), and I'd like to think Hillary would be smart enough to do the same if she lost to Bernie, however small chance that is, because ultimately, a unified democratic vote is how you're going to beat the Republicans.

Lots of good points. Trump's not a Republican, he doesn't care if Republicans lose. He'd actually likely vindictively try to make them lose, running third party. Hillary and even the independent Sanders will likely look at Cruz or Trump and would side with their worst political enemy to beat them. Trump has plenty of liberal ideas and all he really cares about it Trump.

We need to find a suicidal man and convince him to murder Kasich while wearing a Ted Cruz campaign shirt.

No, he's there to leach votes that would potentially go to Trump. Cruz can't beat Trump by himself.
