A trade agreement wouldn't have to be approved by each individual member state, only Brussels gets to decide that. If we were to vote NO, and the government respects the decision, the trade parts of the treaty would still go into effect. Most of them are already in effect even.
This treaty is bigger than any other treaty the EU has made with a 3rd party country. It's way, way more than just trade.
