Some observations:
Vietnamese are mostly kind, giving and honest. Their kids walk to school in uniforms holding hands, a safe society without blacks or many Muslims.
They seem completely uninterested in politics and the minor censorship that occurs here.

I was in Vietnam about 5 years ago.
Spent most of the time in a village near Huế.
The people there were pretty based. Poor as shit, but politely inviting me in for beer, tea and snacks. I kind of became a local celebrity there for trying to sing karaoke in vietnamese and failing miserably.
I even got on national television, but that were only for being the only white guy at the opening of a local temple. Loved every minute of that trip, even if I were drunk most of the time.
