Dear /pol/, I always notice that after 5 or 6 pm, the people that usually spend extra time at the library are mostly males.
There is the occasional chick, but overall it looks like the sausage truck is in town.
Aside from the fact some of us are time wasters or wake up too late to do something useful in the morning... and aside from the fact some overstay not because of work but to browse shit they like...
Aside from these cases... why aren't there as many girls as dudes in the library at night?
Are girls better organized?
Do they have something better to do at night?
Are they all early birds?
Are we dudes all workaholics?
Do we relate to stress differently?
Do girls prefer to spend night hours in private premises?
I see chicks are more performant, get better grades and they do always look like they have time for their Chads and family calls, social meetings and shit.
Another thing I noticed is they are hardly alone... not just because of bf but also because of gf and because people are more inclusive with girls -- whereas dudes are seen as a threat

That said, the girls I met are usually quite motivated to 'succeed' in whatever they do.
While many guys couldn't care less, they'd rather play games and go to the pub and 'socialize' instead of finishing their homework on time.
Guys usually 'wake up' at around the age of 20, when they realize they have been slacking their entire life and want to be productive.
It is at that point that the mentality shifts dramatically.

Middle school girls perform better than their male peers due to the attitude preferred at middle school, that is a 'be quiet and sit still'-attitude, something girls are better capable of doing than boys, which results in boys getting lower grades. The education system is optimized for girls, not for boys, hence the discrepancy. In university this difference tends to decrease.
Girls are more socially active than guys, thus they might look like they have more time for 'Chads and family calls', but they merely make time, whereas guys are less inclined to do so.
For the rest, this is not too bad of a question, it's probably due to social factors (eg. girls generally being taught not to stay out late) and biological factors, really can't say too much about it, I guess...

I study by understanding. Looking at concepts and trying to either visualise or put my shit into a real life scenario. I don't need to spend hours memorising the formula for a mathematical equation bc I understand the purpose behind it...

I don't really share your experiences. At my university, there were plenty of women in the library after 6 pm. We also have rape alert lights on campus where you can press buttons and the dorms were pretty close to the library so maybe they felt more comfortable staying later.
