Wait, so what exactly makes the republican establishment think they can just throw out the many millions and millions of Trump votes and nominate some cuck like Cruz or Kasich? The fuck? Whatever happened to democracy. Its like our votes don't matter.

I don't remember that. I know the Simpsons has ramped up their shilling, but I always thought it was done with a wink and a nudge before.

Gotta wonder why Kelsey Grammer regrets it.

Am I just out of the loop, or did Ben Garrison's career take off thanks to /pol/? I regularly see his real comics posted on reddit now, although it's usually on "right wing" subs.

That is the democracy. All votes are equal, but some are more equal than others.

The parties are private organizations that have the right to use any process they want to select their representatives. If the American people weren't total retards, they'd come to the conclusion that this electoral process is shit. We need Canada to annex us, not the other way around.

Fun fact, there have actually been 3 times in history to date where the electoral college has gone against the popular vote and put someone else in the presidential seat.
Just saying, even if Trump wins it all, he can still lose when it hits electoral college vote.

Fuck all the goddamn politicrooks. We don't need your guns or drugs or military we make and are our own now DIE you fucking drain circling filth. Hear that sound elite? Fear us. One wrong move and we are a 90 million strong militia. We are freedom. We are america. We purge the corruption now.

For all it's flaws, Sweden's proportional representation is the best model. The U.S. system is worse than most Latin American countries and their runoffs. Americans are the only people who think their constitution was delivered by Jesus or some shit.

Realistically, they can do it because they can get away with it.

Let's say that Trump has the most delegates at the convention, but not an outright majority.

So, the party rejects him and picks someone else.

GOP voters might be temporarily angry, but within a few days they will simply flip over to "STOP HILLARY" mode, and the past will be forgotten.

Think of all the stuff Bush did which "enraged" conservatives - but they never stopped voting for him.

The one thing that both major parties really agree on is that the american people should be imprisoned in a cage made of authoritarianism, wage slavery and and taxation. What they disagree on is which groups should be discriminated against and who should receive the benefits of wealth distribution.

Dems say brown people should get all the free shit and whitey should be punished, Reps say Rich people should be able to fuck over poor people at will and anyone who is not soley concerned with making more money is a degenerate who should be harassed. Both parties despise the middle class and want nothing more than to saacrifice them to their respective "Ideal" classes, "Oppressed" groups for Dems, Capitalists for Reps.

The Cartoon is in reference to the fact that Middle America gets divided over stupid non issues like gay rights and abortion while the major parties collude with each other to build a prison of laws around them.

The Republican party nomination process is a privately-owned one. Managed by regulations but at the end of the day just a way of rallying people to a candidate. Without parties, candidates would simply petition to be put on the ballot in all 50 states.

And that is why we're fucked.

You can't just have the most.
You have to have more than 50%, that is democracy.

Donald Trump's favorably is on a steady decline. He can't even win over a majority of Republicans. How the fuck is he going to win over a majority of everyone else?

It is not like we don't know who Trump is at this point. We have seen his hot wife naked. What else is there?

>>69862210
>believing polls
>>
>>69860057

it's your fault if you never bothered to learn how primaries work, and it's Trump's fault if he fails to earn a majority of delegates

at least we even have primaries to help choose who will lead the major parties because the vast majority of democracies don't
>>
>>69862067
Yeah cus that methodology worked so well for them in 2008 and 12.

Those were both more cut and dried than this year and the GoP threw both by forcing the most milktoast jew owned corporate shill they could find. GG fighting to maintain control of an increasingly irrelevant party, when do we cut the GoPs throat and replace them with an actual nationalist party?
>>
>>69862092
Exactly.
>>
>>69860057
If democracy had ability to change anything it would be banned in every single country on planet, it's trick where you put paper in box for someone else to wipe his ass with it and believe you're the change.

They literally don't. The republican nominee this year is going to get BTFO worse than Romney.
