My local Jesuit Priest ran a Mass talking about how he was a Buddhist and how Buddhist theological tenants apploed to Christianity. He denied the objectivity of the world and Christ's life in a 10 min theologcial spiel. Not joking. Does regular Buddhist meditation sessions that anyone can attend.
Googled afterwards and discovered it's a real thing amongst the Jesuits, the open practice of Buddhism and acceptance of most of it's theological tenants. On most issues they are the cancer in the Church, that's just one example of it.

Just to clarify, Orthodoxy derives from Orthodoxia (pronounced Orthodoksia) and the two words that consists of are Orthon (Ορθόν - correct/true) and Doksa (Δόξα - glory/faith), and the word orthodoxy is to litteraly describe practices and beliefs that haven't deviated from original teachings.
I.E. an orthodox can be a marxist that follows Marx's teachings to the letter. Cultural marxists are revisionists.

So this verse says that the Spirit proceedeth from the Father, so no filioque, right? But it also says that it is sent by Jesus, so maybe filioque is right.
Ultimately it is irrelevant: the creeds are just tl;drs of the gospel. Both churches do not dispute the truth of John 15:26, rather they dispute how it should be summarised in the creed. I don't see therefore how either summary is necessarily sinful: neither version of the creed is a perfect representation of the truth of the gospel.
As you can probably tell, I am a Protestant, specifically a Calvinist.

Not only is Christ the founder of the church but he is also the foundation of the church. In that same statement to Simon Peter cited earlier Christ said, "Upon this rock I will build my church" (Matt. 16:18). What was or is the rock on which the church of Christ is established? It is the bed-rock foundation fact that Peter had just acknowledged -- namely, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. In Matthew 16:16 Peter said to Jesus, "Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God." Following this statement Jesus said that upon this rock he would build his church. The rock was not the apostle Peter or any other man; rather it was Christ and his divine relationship to God- the fact that he is God's Son. Any church built on a name or some special religious doctrine or some form of church government is built on the wrong foundation and will not stand. The church is said to be a spiritual house made up of lively or living stones.
