He's the person from whom I heard the gospel 4 or 5 years ago. I had not heard it in the first 22 years of my life.
Since then I've changed almost entirely. I've made my way from leaf land to visit the church. What an experience, nothing comes even close to his sermons.
My qt Christian fiancee also heard his "bible way to heaven" video and is now saved as well.

I've made pastor Anderson threads before and they get the worst reception imaginable.
I listen to his sermons practically every day and in every sermon I think to myself "wow.. /pol/ would lul their heads off if they heard this". But they reject it.

I just love his preaching. This just makes me like him more. Fire and brimstone is gone. I go to a Baptist church that is more traditional than any church I've gone to. They still laugh at the thought of fire and brimstone preaching. The greatest revivals this country had didn't happen in churches where they did soft preaching, it happened in churches that were filled with the Spirit, where the greatest conviction happened.
Ephesians 6 describes the Word of God as the sword of salvation. Hebrews 4 says that the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. These "evangelicals" today want to hear preaching that is comforting and listen to worshiptainment music that is uplifting. That is not what the Word of God is. The Word of God is a sword, and when you receive it, it is supposed to feel as though you've been stabbed in the chest. It is convicting and it is damning. The fire and brimstone that awaits the sinner in Hell is inherent in our salvation, the fire and the brimstone are what makes that amazing grace so sweet.
