You can only post in this thread if your country has annihilated reds at one point or another in its history
>The idea of setting up a focus of rural guerrilla that could function as a pole of attraction for all elements dissatisfied with the Brazilian military dictatorship in order to compensate for the smashing of urban opposition movements had been long nurtured among the Brazilian Left since 1964, but it was left to the PC do B to be the only political organization that actually tried to build up such a focus.
>The guerrilla was countered by the Brazilian Army from 1972, when several of its members had already been established in the region for at least six years. The stage of combat operations between the guerrillas and the Army took place in the border of the states of Goiás, Pará and Maranhão. The movement's name came from the fact that its fighters were established on the banks of the Araguaia river. The region was chosen because it consisted of a hotspot of tension between peasants and developers (miners and public works contractors) attracted by the investment opportunities offered by the recent discovery of the nearby Carajás iron ore mine.[4] The guerrillas hoped to gain support of such tensions by siding with the peasants.
>It is estimated that the movementwas composed of about 80 guerrillas. Of these, fewer than twenty survived - among them José Genoino, later president of the Workers' Party, who was arrested by the Army in 1972 during the first stage of military operations. The vast majority of combatants, primarily composed of former college students and self-employed workers, was killed in battle in the jungle or executed after arrest and torture during the final stages of military operations in 1973 and 1974. However, none of the individuals was acknowledged as dead, remaining in the status of persons who had disappeared for political reasons. Currently 60 of the combatants are still considered desaparecidos.

>The Araguaia guerrilla (Portuguese: Guerrilha do Araguaia) was an armed movement in Brazil against its military dictatorship, active between 1967-1974 in the Araguaia river basin. It was founded by militants of the Communist Party of Brazil (PC do B), the then Maoist counterpart to the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB), which aimed at establishing a rural stronghold from whence to wage a War of National Liberation against the Brazilian military government, which had been in power since the 1964 coup d'état.[1] Its projected activities were based on the successful experiences led by the 26th of July Movement in the Cuban Revolution, and by the Communist Party of China during the Chinese Civil War.

I'm friends with a Brazilian kid here that is 100% convinced Dilma and Lula have done no wrong, and that they are the only people who aren't corrupt in the country. Weirdest part is he's a white Brazilian from Florianopolis
>>69839673
Our left has entered full denial phase
>>69840047
His mindset is that the government shouldn't change, since everyone else is corrupt so if Dilma gets the boot whoever replaces her will be corrupt. But y'know Dilma actually is corrupt so it doesn't matter anyway. He usually shuts down debate by telling me that as an American I can't possibly understand Brazil, even though he's been here for years and has no intention of returning home ever.
>>69838918
Someone photoshop her hands on her cheek please.
>>69840464
i know people like this, other people are also corrupt but they aren't as bad as dilma and lula, bolsonaro for example is based and called his own party(PP) corrupt in the front of everyone on a plenary session
>>69839673
Whites are disproportionately represented in leftism worldwide.
>>69840464
You can understand bullshit completely fine, burger. Your friend is just a leftist twat.
He does have a point, whoever assumes won't be morally better by any measure. They're just less economically retarded than the Worker's Party.
That said, I'm not pro-impeachment because stupid voters deserve what they get in a democracy. Let it serve as a lesson
Communist policy in Brazil is making the country whiter and so as a Filipina white nationalist I will support them.
>>69841248
in what dimension this guy lives?

Let's just say you are wrong.

>>69841531
Not an argument.
>>69839673
I see what he means but after 14 years of workers party we need a change in power. The mere rumours of Dilma getting impeached are being a breath of fresh air to our economy.
>>69841663
Not an argument what? All this government has ever done is elevate monkeys
>>69841663
In the South, where I live, there are rural villages who have never so much as seen a black person in the flesh since their foundation and the Communist government has been filling buses with droves of black Haitians and sending them specifically to these villages and targeting the states with a majority white population instead of, say the Northeast which is already black to a large extent, and where new blacks would fit better. So tell me how is this making the country whiter.

That image related, even though I'm not Brazilian, reading Pedro II's wikipedia article has me feeling warm and fuzzy. Too bad modern Brazil has no politicians with such drive and passion for their country as the Emperor had. It's a shame he was ousted.
>>69838798
Does it still count if we remove reds using other reds?
>>69840968
>implying ELETRONIC VOTING MACHINES results weren't arranged in last elections so it looked even
>still believing that 51% of the population voted for Dilma even though she had 12% national approval 2 weeks later
>still believing in democracy and that people voted wrong
>muh "Não vai ter golpe"
Top fucking kek
I bet you would vote for Marina in 2018

That was his wife? No wonder he liked to travel so much.

I thought Pedro II was viewed as a national hero? Honestly better an Emperor than a corrupt commie government. Under Pedro Brazil was beacon of stability and prosperity in the whirlwind of upheaval that was 19th century South America
>>69843427
The average person don't know anything about him, i'm sure if i ask my parents now they would not know who he is or will say something vague like ''the guy that freed brazil''.
>>69842821
If you're saying the election was rigged, you better bring some proof.
The voting machines are handled by the military, who hates leftists to the bone. Also, every single party, government and opposition, sends delegates to check if there are any hints of tampering.
Poor people are just stupid and believed propaganda paid for by petrobras' money. That is all.
>>69838798
Better dead than fucking red, my friend.
>>69843556
Jeez, that's awful. People should know who their greatest national leader was, if only to have a role model to strive towards. I can't imagine people here not knowing about Washington or Lincoln.
>>69843427
Pedro II governed during a very prosperous time for the West in general. He just didn't fuck anything up. He was no Queen Victoria, more like Queen Elizabeth
>>69843630
>the military hates leftists
Top kek meua migo
>>69843427
I mean people who currently want to restory the monarchy. Brazilians think monarchy is opreshun and love muh republic
Which fucking sucks. Democracy allows dumb people to vote and we have to many of them, thats why workers party has been 14 years in power
>Dilma
>Lula
Brazillian Nationalist reporting in.
>>69843839
I disagree, if only because during the same time period the rest of South America was doing pretty bad (dictatorships, economic hardship, etc.). But Brazil comparatively was doing great. Most historians agree this was thanks to his mature and intelligent reign. He helped depose the Argentine dictator Rosas and expanded the Brazilian infrastructure greatly. He wielded a lot more power than he technically was allowed, but used all of it to further the interests of the nation as a whole. Honestly modern Brazil could learn a lot from him.

You do realize it's proper for the leader of the armed forces to salute the fucking head of state, don't you, plinio?

The european and murica West, South America was pretty shit during XIX century. A coup d'etat almost every year and the eternal anglo trying to cuck latins.
The Empire evolved pretty much due to the emperors ability. We were in chaos before him. Revolutions every fucking time
We totally annihilated the Red Chinese in the Korean War.
