I know very little, but I fear that the Sunni's won't get a State when the dust settles, unless they reorganize themselves into something other than ISIS. Right now, I don't have all the pieces, but I can see Sunnis being the primary losers of this conflict, because they've entrusted their defense to uncontrollable Ghazis rather than local actors. Not that I particularly sympathize with the Sunnis; in fact, most Sunnis are scum. But I could see the Sunni Arabs becoming "Kurdified," with the Shia and the Kurds covering the difference between the two ethnic groups. This will cause instability and also play into Iran's hands.
Once ISIS is gone things are going to get more serious but it would best to just leave the theater by then. The Turks have been too slow and stupid, unlike the Iranians who've really been quick and fast. The Shia keep winning everytime, because they have an organized Clergy (even if that means they are horribly outnumbered.)
But what's on the plate, I guess the only two thins to add would be to increase the possibility of defection (IE: Get skilled labor and businessmen to leave,) and get the Sunnis to redirect their defense away from ISIS. I just found out that we are apparently escalating our expeditions. This is a smart move but I worry when we take territory in Mosul, who exactly will the government be? Shia Arabs? Some kind of autonomy zone (or reconciliation) would be essential if we capture Mosul. But even then, the Sunnis have been stupid. They failed to sufficiently develop a separate political infrastructure and put all their trust in ISIS. Yet that's the nature of their "Democratic Theocracy." It's just mob rule after mob rule. That's what fucked them over by getting the world on their ass.
If I was Turkey, I'd be terrified. In fact, I would be so terrified, I'd outright consider invading ISIS to implement my own puppet Sunnis. Why? Because Assad is closer to Al Raqqa and Putin is probably willing to pay the blood and treasure to give him the Syrian Crescent (due to his bluff.) That doesn't mean I'd actually invade, because I don't know shit about what's going on. But if Assad can cut the river through multiple fronts instead of just pushing into Al Tabqah, he's in a great place.
