The latest polls show that the left is vanishing from Europe while the far right parties are becoming dominant.
In France the left doesn't even reach 30% of the votes. Le Pen alone gets almost the same quantity of votes than all the left. Then you have to add Sarkozy's party, another party more rightwing than Sarkozy's and the centre party.

There are very few outliers here. One is Italy, because of Berlusconi and because the new left is a serious left with spending cuts, new reforms, not pro-immigration... Another one is Spain which has been without a government since December, but in the new polls the center-right block is winning. The other one is Portugal, because they are fucking weird, and didn't receive much immigration.

The most likely scenario is that the far right will be absorbed by the mainstream right. Peoples across Europe are finally coming to know what those of us in the American south (the blackest region in America) have known throughout our history. Europe is not full of nations of immigrants. European nations have thousands of years of history forming their own unique cultural identities. European 'natives' aren't going to be happy about seeing their taxes and public services geared more toward people who aren't part of their culture and refusing to assimilate because they're products of an entirely separate civilization. There's a good case to be made for a robust public sector as long as those benefits are used exclusively by those who pay into them. European socialism will die within our lifetimes.
