The average German man of today is absurdly passive when compared to average Americans or Russians. I was stationed in Germany and I was routinely shocked with the behavior of German men. They will buy you a dozen beers if you pick a fight with one and afterwards they consider you a friend for life. I knew a Russian guy living there and he had recently been arrested for selling Ecstasy for the second time--the sentenced was deferred for 18 months while he got his affairs in order and for his employer to hire and train a temporary replacement for him. Nice people but easy to take advantage of.
