Why does education lean so far to the left?
I get why colleges do, lots of kids who have money. You pay to hear what you wanna hear.

Bait, but in response, academia is probably one of the most reality insulating professions out there. There's a reason why people make the ivory white tower comparison to them, as they just do not experience life outside of academia that everyone else does.

You want an actual answer? It's because government jobs have no standards.
Left-wing people are invariably those who either grew extremely wealthy because they were early adopters of technology/niche industries that had no competition, or who work in industries where competition is illegal. The sort of person who becomes a College Professor may have a high degree of education, but instead of entering the private sector where his expertise may actually be useful, he instead performs rote education to indoctrinate children and young people with ideas that they cannot question without being graded down.
Once you enter an environment where there is actual competition and where results matter, people become more conservative as a matter of course.
