Wikipedia is basically a microcosm of everything wrong in the modern era. We have this freely editable encyclopedia that basically everyone gets the majority of their information from, first and foremost. Whoever controls a page gets to essentially rewrite history.
There used to be a very well-done page on cultural marxism on wikipedia. But then overnight, it was completely deleted and now gone without a trace. When you now search for cultural marxism, you get taken down to a subsection of the Frankfurt School page titled "conspiracy theories" and you get a one sentence blurb dismissing the entire concept as tinfoil bullshit. And you could follow the edit history and see that the person who made and upholds the edits is a literal communist.
This incident was so fucking striking to me. It's like in MGS2 where the patriot AI has total control over all information. But instead of it being a single entity directly controlling everything, it's a voracious cult of leftists acting by an invisible hand, like a corrupt version of the free market for knowledge.
