At one point my village was taken over, but not fully. It sits on the Lebanese border, and had regular islamists crossing in from Northern Lebanon. There was little fighting due to a ceasefire by a local sheikh and a politician but after things got heated the SAA (included some of my relatives in this operation) entered and expelled the rebels. Currently under government control and has had no incident in years.
