Why is America so bad at nation building? We did so well with Germany, Japan, and South Korea. Why did we fail so miserably Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq?

Germany, Japan, and Korea where nations millenias
before you "built" them.

because asians and whites are willing to build.

also, vietnam we were trying to support a really corrupt and shitty "democratic" government. same with south korea too until the 1970's i think.

>Germany was already a nation

It took the American general Bismarck to create the German nation. Before that you were a collection of shitty little states.

Because that was the plan. If Iraq would have been stable your masters wouldn't have been able to use it as a breeding ground for ISIS which was then to be used as a tool to remove Assad.

Mudbricks or adobe if you have lime. Ironically, the preferred building materials in the nations we've invaded recently.

I would argue that we """succeeded""" in Vietnam because they didn't end up like Afghanistan or Iraq once the occupying forces left.
>>
>>69797946
You're not suppose to build up nations after you destroy them in war.

You are supposed to send colonies there to rebuild on their own with stolen money and resources. A classic Machiavellian move.
>>
>>69797946
I wouldn't consider the puppet globalist government of post war Germany an example of a successful nation rebuild.

But to answer your question on the terms I believe you're asking, compare the populations (by race and culture) of Germany, Japan and Korea to Afghanistan, Vietnam and Iraq. There's your answer.

Keep eating your German propaganda m8, everybody know Bismark was an american that created Germany.

Because we were worried about Assad before 9/11. That's y we fakes it ha.

Why don't people know the difference between conquest and war?

Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, all campaigns.

The UN is now a Muslim kiss ass club.
>>
>>69797946
it's because american control were near total in those successful countries

then america started half assing it in the other countries, just sending "advisors" and shit

america's track record pretty much proves that people respect conquerors more than puppets
>>
>>69797946
we didn't really fail at afghanistan or iraq so much as we did at vietnam

Vietnam used to be french occupied and the french didn't/couldn't deal with the rebels and guerilla warfare. The french leave and communism starts taking over and then the US intervenes because communism. The US didn't do anything different than what the french did. Guerilla warfare really fucked up the entire war and allowed the vietcong to pretty much do what ever they want. Another issue was that Vietcong was using Laos and other neighboring countries as supply routes the US couldn't invade or stop

Bismark was Prussian, he united all the German States with the exception of Austria to create the German empire under Prussian leadership. BTW I hope you're joking, don't embarrass Americans.

Next you are going to claim that George Washington and 80% of the founding fathers weren't actually from Sub-Saharan Africa.

tbqh if you had outright won the vietnam war the following 'nation building' would probably have worked well due to the Vietnamese having a sense of national belonging and pride.

Afghan/Iraq doesn't have this. Iraq is basically three nations (Sunnis, Shia, Kurds) in one, and Afghan is a complete shitshow where the highest form of authority for most of the population are basically tribal leaders.
>>
>>69797946
Because the war literally killed the vast majority of men of fighting age in Japan and Germany, this was what was required to actually break the will of a society.

The US has not been committed to actually win a war since WW2, the commitment requires annihilation of the population of men age 16-40 in the society.

Our side lost Vietnam so we didn't have a chance to nation build there, but they built it themselves and are doing fairly well nowadays. You don't see radical Vietcong suicide bombing Americans who visit there on holiday, it's a stable and proud country that just wanted to rule itself rather than be an American puppet.

>>
>>69801740
Multiconfessional doesn't really mean much.
Germany is biconfessional to the extreme and had the bloodiest "religious" war of all time happen and it's stable
>>
>>69801426
The russians basically did what the US tried/is trying to do in Afghanistan now. There was a secular government being attacked by jihadists, the Soviets backed the secular government and tried to kill the jihadis. They failed because of US support of the jihadis. Now we are trying to kill the jihadis.
>>
>>69802053
>Because the war literally killed the vast majority of men of fighting age in Japan and Germany
But that's wrong.
>>
>>69802157
We lost Vietnam because we didn't do what was required to win which is mass bombing and killing of the civilian population.

Vietnam is extremely corrupt these days and dressed up in brochures and you can lay on the beach and ride elephants for LOLs but its still a horrible backwards country with totalitarian rule.
>>
>>69799658
Fuck outta here, m8.
Next you're gonna say Charlemange wasn't Polish?
>>
>>69802589
Well gIven that half the population was on our side I don't think mass extermination was really the right choice in this particular case. Pretty much all countries are extremely corrupt, including the U.S., I was just saying it is at least stable and functional and therefore different from the other failed state examples the op listed.

We abandoned them.

Same thing happened in Vietnam, the OSS trained Ho Chi Minh to fight the Vichy French government and the Japanese occupation of Vietnam in WW2.

After he got Bao Dai to abdicate the throne of Vietnam, the US ignored his requests to recognize the independent nation of Vietnam, despite repeated petitions to Truman and US support of the Viet Minh movement during WW2.
