Its not really about the numbers but the purose of the camps. The allies have a great deal of responsibility for dead prisoners as they cut off the supply lines and let disease spread to weaken the german. Those of course are actions expected during a war, but when the dust settled, the nazis were held 100% resposible for everything and the allied great fuck ups went unnoticed.
