Why do retards love this guy so much? Whats with the "Change" meme I see with every bernout? I mean who's been in office for the last 8 years?
>>
>>69796919

Hopey McChangeface?
>>
>Why do retards love this guy so much?

I think you know the answer. It starts with "FREE" and ends with "SHIIIIIIITT"
>>
All gib me dats and cant into basic econ aside,....

I dont see why pol (Trump supporters) would rather see Hillary, who seems to have a better chance of beating him, take the nomination.

Just like Bernie's say they are going cruz missle to try to unhinge the stronger candidate (Trump), Trumpers should back Bernie over and against Hillary.

Also check this fresh shit:
Bernie won Nevada after blatant HRC campaign "cheating" went down. The head line is out there, but the quote:

"We caught the Hillary campaign cheating, we caught the Nevada Democratic Party secretary cheating,” said Angie Sullivan, another member of the credentials committee for the Clark County Democratic Convention. “When it was apparent Bernie started winning, they really turned up the heat.”

Is staying buried so far
>>
Because he cares and talks about shit they care about.

My only gripe with him is that he wants to raise taxes on everyone including the very poor. I don't think that's ideal.
>>
>>69796919
>Whats with the "Change" meme I see with every bernout?

"Change" according to Obama:
>more and more wars
>gun grabs
>raised taxes
>blacks worse off after 8 years
>race wars and a divided country
>all ABC agencies given more power
But hey at least fags can get married!

With Sanders:
>8 more years of the same bullshit
But hey at least we can smoke weed!

At the end of the day I want to keep the money I make. I do not want to be taxed higher.
>>
>>69797488

Obama never implied any sort of economic changes. He was just the first black president.

I think it's dishonest to say that Bernie is going to be Obama 2.0. That's clearly Hillary.
>>
People don't understand the consequences of their actions and refuse to recognize the duality of their own opinions.

They have a distrust of the federal government but wish to expand their presence in their everyday lives. They believe they are entitled to the same perks that people who have worked hard to earn money to enjoy have. They want to raise minimum wage, raise corporate taxes AND bring jobs back from overseas.

They can't see, or fathom the contradictions in their beliefs or the consequences of those beliefs.

1) Corruption in government? We dislike the fact that the NSA has access to so much private info of ours? Let's not only give them complete control of he healthcare industry but also make them responsible for our medical records, they won't put Bayer or Pfizer shills in charge and then share our medical information with businesses to exclude us from the workforce!

2) Business move overseas due to the cost of doing business in America? Let's make it more expensive to do business in America.

3) Our public schools have gone to shit, with a clusterfuck of political correctness, multiculturalism, and self-esteem policies having driven standards down to below anything resembling acceptable levels? Let's do the same to higher education.

4) China, Russia, and middle eastern terrorists are attempting to expand their spheres of influence to our and our allies' detriment? Let's cut military spending, why do we need it?

4) I don't make enough money as is? I should be taxed at a higher rate!

They are living in a fantasy world where socialism isn't an abortion of an ideology. The support for Bernie comes from a mixture of delusion, guilt, and jealousy. People honestly think adopting policies that punish businesses for existing will bring jobs back, some feel like they HAVE to give those unwilling and unable to earn more a bigger cut of their pie, and then some are just furious that their choices in life led to a dead end, and refuse to accept blame.

He mean well, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
>>
>>69797488
Sanders is admittedly much further left than Obong. He's serious about climate change, anti war so no more drones killing 300 civi's a month, universal health care over ACA, make the internets free, more open to immigration, free college, tax on stock market recklessness
>>
>>69797488
It's scary how disconnected people can be from reality. It's like their watching the show with the sound turned off and just making it up as it pleases them.

I am an exe 2 time Ron Paul supporter in 08 and 12...

I have been supporting Rand Paul and Bernie this year...

Rand got btfo so I like Trump on the right but still feel that Bernie is more genuine then him.

People from both sides want real change, that is why this election is so crazy...

Voting partisan is fucking stupid, once u see how much astroturfing goes into turning puppets into meme candidates who can fix our issues, you see how fucking rigged all of this and how corrupt each party is.

Both Trump and Bern have pros and cons, I feel a bit safer with Trump, however i feel like nothing great is gonna happen with him and we will just get a Silvio Berlusconi to entertain us while we get fucked.

The problems are so big, they are unsustainable and cant be fixed by anyone, you can hardly put a dent in them which is why establishment just keeps lying to us and installing puppets as they see it better then the alternative of all the bad that comes with making a real change.

I got news for you all, The NSA started in the 60s... everything is spied on, this whole gov spying on medical, its been going since it's inception.

The problem is greed here and its a human nature issues.

You know what, fuck this no one is gonna listen to what I am saying. You will just rip me for not being partisan.
>>

>1
Just because I dont want the NSA to monitor my online activity doesnt mean I wont or shouldnt trust an entirely different branch to provide healthcare for me. They're different sectors; your arguement is a wash.

>2
As much as I'd like to, you cant reverse globalization bro. Markets that are interdependent cant just reverse. If you make us economically isolationist with massive tarrifs its gonna hurt the economy. Additionally, we dont have to tax the little guys (I hope we wont). Big business gets away with too much: monopolies, price gouging, absurd tax cuts, etc. They can take a hit. If they go down another will fill their soace in the market. Half a point

>3
Are you seriously implying that schools need less money?
Do you realize that one, JUST ONE inventor with sufficient background in science could entirely revolutionize the market, creating millions of jobs. All we have to do is pull a JFK and make it a big competition. If you make apeeches about how whoever figures out cold fusion is gonna get $1billion and mad honeys, people will get to work on that shit. But only if they have education

>4
We have trading "partners". When is the last time a foreign nation cleaned up one of our problems domestically?
WE HAVE HOMELESS VETERANS WHO FREEZE TO DEATH IN THE COLD and you want to continue contracts with lockheed martin where we pay them $2bill to make a $1bill aircraft? You really wanna keep subsidizing Haliburton, recently involved in a massive corruption leak?

Securing the border is the best foreign policy.

>5
If you and your kids never have to pay for anything healthcare related or for anything education related, that leaves only housing, car, and food. Unless youre making more than a quarter million (in which case youre fine anyway) you're looking at a two percent increase.
Two percent.

Getting rid of the old and replacing it with the new is always the communist line.

>Old = bad. New = good.

The thinking is kept very simplistic to appeal to the illiterate masses.

A centrist who campaigned as a progressive to get elected. Obama is fake. Sanders is the real deal.

He's running on FDR's like 5th term or whatever it is.
>>
>>69799780
This is true of all socialist leaders. They use popular appeals, exaggerated grievances, empty promises of utopia to convince the masses to overthrow the existing order, then they sweep in and take absolute control.
>>
Lmao pol this cute. Screenshotting these and posting the. On my bernie memes page.
>>
>>69799963
And reactionaries like you just oppose the will of the people.

This is a democracy, and the American People (when not Gerrymandered) are:
in favor of abortion
In favor of gay marriage
In favor of a social safety net
Against shitting on the rights of "suspected" terrorists
In favor of taxing the top 1% so they can afford to send their kids to college
In favor of legalizing pot
Against more ground wars to preserve muh mastur rays
In favor of combating climate change
In favor of tolerating others

Stop shitting on democracy.
Give us a popular voting system
Give us an election system free of billions in lobbying efforts
Give us back the HALF OF OUR BUDGET thats being spent to pad the bank accounts of military industrial complex owners
>>
>>69800656
Why would we limit lobbying efforts in political campaigns without also limiting propaganda efforts in entertainment media like HBO? Is there really a difference? It's OK for entertainment media to manipulate the will of the people, but not OK for political media to do so?
>>
>>69799272
They're both apart of the executive branch, it's naive to think "different departments" that report to the same snake head aren't apart of the same body.

I never said give schools less money. You pulled that from your ass. I said our standards are low.

You seem to think businesses will just stay here and eat it. What happens when they leave? Taxes will rise. The more business flee, the higher the individual burden will be. Don't be so short-sighted. The fact that business ALREADY leave tells you how they'll react to doubling their effective tax rate.
>>
>>69801038
I agree with you. Media does effect people and their voting habits.
Changing this though definitely steps on rights. We cant only have a govt news channel for example.

I think lobbyists paying candidates money to change their policies is qualitatively different then people watching tv though.

What do you propose?
>>
>>69801293
You brought up the will of the people, but it is the will of the people as manipulated by a leftist entertainment media.

That's not much different from campaign media that seeks to influence how people vote.

If we need to limit campaign financing because it allows monied interests to manipulate the masses and thus the government, it seems we would need to also limit entertainment media, because it also manipulates the masses and influences government policies. I just don't see why we would limit campaign financing without similarly limiting the entertainment industry, because they both use money to manipulate the masses.

Oversight is possible. All you have to do is ensure that the people getting in oversight jobs are extremely transparent and accountable to the people.

As for schools, raise the standards and raise the funding to meet them. Education is crucial to being competitive in the global market. Education, invention, technology will stimulate growth. This factors in the business regulation as well.

Some businesses may leave, but most will not abandon the best consumption market on the planet. Despite my disdain for it, the project of turning Americans into prolific consumers of goods and services has been a massive success, and its has kept our economy strong (perhaps our people indivodually are weaker for it though).
Most massive businesses today exploit offshore loopholes and massive breaks from the likes of Bush jr. Businesses leaving here will create space for other startups, and if we've invested in education (technology and invention) and green technology specifically (cleaner, cheaper energy and jobs, energy security) the economy will balance out and be stronger.
>>
People who will never be able to support themselves, either through laziness or stupidity, will support politicians who promise to give them the earnings and property of superior people. There are a lot more stupid, low achiever trash than highly intelligent, successful people. Voting for a living is a hell of a lot easier than working for a living.
>>
Is there a way Sander's policies could actually work?
If so, what are the determining factors for them to succed?

You dumb fuck, shit must be produced before it can be consumed. Government produces nothing, it merely transfers assets from those who produced them, to those who consumed them. We spent far LESS on education, in inflation adjusted dollars than we did 50 years ago. We need to SLASH education spending, particularly the "learn absolutely nothing" liberal arts majors. We spend more than enough on education - more, in fact, than any other nation. We need to copy the practices of the countries which spend less and have superior outcomes.
>>
>>69801668
One makes sure politicians DO THEIR JOB

The other, which believe me- I support in theory- steps on people's rights to free speech, no?

Now we could weaken IP laws and make the internet free. This would, hopefully, help to educate people some. That said most people are more interested in cat videos than learning about policy.

>>
>>69801972
But they don't HAVE to abandon the market , they can still sell shit here without paying people here to make it. If they leave they'll make MORE money because the cost of overhead will be higher.

And how often does oversight work in America? How long after Sanders before a Pfizer execute appointed "healthcare czar" and decides treatments and medications are only covered if their Pfizer's?

And I agree we should raise standards, maybe a better educated populace would replace the need for higher education to be competitive in the market. But I don't see how free college would. College isn't prohibitively expensive if you choose a degree path with profit at the end of it. Sure, liberal arts majors and u specialized STEM have a problem finding jobs, but why would flooding the market with more of he same fix that?

Production only occurs to satisfy demand. Like if there is demand, production will follow bro.

I think we could definitely clean education up, like most of the government, but I dont think cutting soending is the way to go. YES theres probably insane waste. I dont agree with teaching kids fiction writing and dance either. But education- investing in human capital- is the good shit my man.

When you invest in a resource like oil, not only is it finite, but it's value is based in the market ergo it is unstable. Human capital doesnt diminish with the market. It may become devalued with overproduction, but the skills are always there, and knowledge is cumulative meaning that if we raise the bar of education for all, the total height of education we reach is higher.

This is an attenuated arguement but here me out:
Lets say hypothetically you've got one Tesla, da Vinci, etc per billion people. In theory that's a half a dozen REVOLUTIONS in technology just walking the face of the earth. Most people on the planet are essentially excluded from education. While they might still be geniueses, if that potential isnt unlocked theough edcuation, we continue to operate with the same technology of yesteryear. We never grow.

My main point is that you can't point to any "will of the people" in the US any more than you could under the strictest thought control in Mao's China, because that will has been so thoroughly manipulated and perverted by propaganda that it is not really the will of the people but rather simply a reflection of the propaganda.

The reason this propaganda is so effective is because of strong efforts to silence opposition to the propaganda, done in different ways under Mao and in the US, but still done, and in some ways similar, such as labeling certain ideas as "reactionary" under Mao or as "racist" in the US as a way to silence and shame people out of challenging the party line.

I was pointing out a contradiction in your position, that you seem to favor the use of propaganda to manipulate the masses when it's done through entertainment media, or at least you are satisfied with the "will of the people" as it exists after being shaped by such propaganda, but you are opposed to propaganda that takes the form of campaign ads. I don't see much of a difference really, except that the one is more direct, and the other is more indirect but more pervasive, and also more pernicious because it is not as easy for the masses to detect.

In both cases, the problem with the propaganda isn't so much that it is trying to manipulate the masses as that it is centralized, coming from only a limited set of voices who through their financial power are able to drown out any dissenting views.
