He hasn't done anything wrong yet. He's actually been ok. He just likes to say lib shit and take pictures with lib activists. It's typical politician stuff though. He's just trying to bump up his party's popularity. In terms of actual governance, he's appointed some well respected and intelligent people around him, so he's being taught well by them.
I think most of the hate is just reactionary shit. Trudeau's a pretty ok guy all things considered. Of course that could change over his term, but so far he hasn't fucked anything up.

Like for example, one of the complaints I see about him here time after time is that he sold our gold off...we've had less then 100 million in reserves for years. Our gold was sold off a long time ago. The 1980's was the time to actually get mad about our gold getting sold off because that's when most of it was sold.

He hasn't made any massive policy moves yet, so they are happy that the man smiles and seems pleasant.
Keep in mind, we've had over a decade of conservative government by the ultimate uptight white male - Steven 'Dr. Evil' Harper. He was not only disliked but HATED by Liberal minded people.
