If you buy a 60 K-Cup variety pack with a twenty percent off coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond, a single K-Cup will cost you $0.53. Compare that to the cost of a regular cup of coffee from your typical coffeemaker at approximately $0.08 per twelve-ounce cup, using Maxwell House ground coffee.
K cups can range anywhere from 45¢ a unit to over 1$ a unit. While brewing using a traditional machine and coffee grounds comes to as little at 5¢ a unit to 30¢ a unit.

They're actually pretty nice as long as you use the filter and not the pre-packaged cups. I wish it would just heat up the water when you need it though instead of keeping water hot all the time.

It's worth it for the convenience.

My parents bought me one of these and I just went and got the converter to put loose coffee/tea in it and just buy teabags, save a ton of money and it works just as well.
Costs me about 5¢ per cup

>K-cups were a mistake and I hate myself for not inventing a reusable or biodegradable one
t. the Canadian who invented K-cups

they are worth the expense.
you cant hate everything
It's convenient as fuckk.
I've been using the French Press lately, but you use a lot more grounds per cup.

Why not just use a simple coffee maschine?
Is it really so important to pay 5x the price to make coffee in 3 minutes instead of 5 minutes?
>>69752626
yes
I own that same model :^]
Just buy Nescafe and boil some water.
Colombia makes God tier coffee if you can afford it.

Bialetti master race reporting in. Best >$30 investment you'll ever make.
Bonus if you blend and roast your own beans instead of buying them from Starjew. Saves a ton of shekels in the long run and all you need is a popcorn popper. Current blend is 50% Brazil Fazenda do Sertao, 33% Sumatra Lintong Opung James, 17% Burundi Bubanza Ngara, roasted to full city/full city+ range

Ditto this. Coffee from a Frech press just tastes better. I have a Keurig, but I use it almost exclusively to make hot water. It comes out at exactly the temperature I like, so it's still quite useful.

I fully agree. I even tossed out my espresso machine after getting the moka pot. I've never had such a flavorful cup of coffee as you get when using this device. Everything else tastes almost undrinkable now.
I haven't gotten into roasting yet. I try a lot of different roasts but I have yet to find that perfect roast (though I've come close). It might be fun to try roasting on my own to have full control and come up with my ideal blend
