>he won't build wall

>Build a wall that works. The unsecured border with Mexico invites illegal immigrants, criminals, and terrorists to tread on American soil. Millions of people from all over the world, including from hostile nations and terrorist havens, have been apprehended at our southern border – and many who make it through are never caught. This is a failure of the highest order. I will fulfill the promise Congress made to the American people almost 10 years ago by completing all 700 miles of priority fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border, and dedicate the resources necessary to replace all single-layer fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border to build a fence that keeps people out and that is technology-supported and law enforcement-accessible. If other nations, such as Israel, can build an effective border wall, the United States certainly can.

>>
>>69740696

No; however, if you want to build a wall AFTER Trump takes all of the heat for the idea, you're a dishonest rat trying to copy Trump.

There was audio leaked from a Cruz fundraising dinner in December where Rato admits that his plan was to "bearhug" Trump. He has later elaborated by publically stating that he wanted to avoid taking on Trump at all until he had a solid support base. There were also the Cruz campaign members basically admitting that the strategy was to appeal to Trump's supporters and hope that Trump stumps himself.

Rato is a dishonest liar who will do none of the things he's promising to do.

P.S. having no friends in the senate doesn't make one an outsider.

Interview from 2012

>We need to do everything humanly possible to secure the borders. Electronic surveillance, a wall, helicopters and, most importantly, boots on the ground. If elected, the first thing I will do is triple the U.S. Border Patrol.

http://hotair.com/closing-the-gap/2012/05/18/interview-with-texas-senate-candidate-ted-cruz/

>P.S. having no friends in the senate doesn't make one an outsider.

The senate is not a social club, the reason why he is disliked is because he won't play ball with McConell.
>>
>>69741651

>Muh interview

Notice how he didn't talk about the wall in the Presidential race until Trump took the heat for it.

I'd point out his role in Rubio's gang of 8 bill, but you'll just plug your ears and shitpost about a "poison pill."

>The senate isn't a social club

I don't blame him for not playing ball with McConell, but even his fellow teabaggers dislike him.
>>
>>69741864
>Notice how he didn't talk about the wall in the Presidential race until Trump took the heat for it.

That's because the media overcovers Trump and undercovered everyone else, also, he knows the border hawks are going to vote for Trump anyway so its a waste of time trying to appeal to them at this point. But he mentioned the wall several times in the debates.

But the point stands, it went from Cruz doesn't want to build a wall to Cruz is just copying Trump even though Cruz has been consistent about wanting a wall since 2012.

> but even his fellow teabaggers dislike him.

Because they wanted him to compromise to pass some legislation but he cares more about his constituents promises than what his senators think. I don't get why people think this is a bad thing.
>>
>>69739731
The "outsider" image was manufactured to appeal to his tea party base, he has deep ties to tons of big lobbyists & businesses
>>
>>69741004
>No; however, if you want to build a wall AFTER Trump takes all of the heat for the idea
The idea came in 1987 or so, when legislation first was written to border off sections of the Mexican border. Stop being so blindingly ignorant to suggest that Trump's position is anything new, especially to suggest that his position on it predates Cruz's.

>Why the hell do you even need presidents if everything is run by market's rich people and nothing by country.
Because it's a meme to say that presidents have no impact on the country, the economy, and all that. That's what lazy critics of 'the establishment' or 'powers that be' say, because it's a bother to learn the intricacies of all the many institutions and individuals who impact man's relation to power, and to what motivations they wield that influence. Presidents have a great deal of power, in fact, to effect policy in the country that directly impacts the common man.

Any of a thousand articles available to you online can do that more effectively, though Cruz basically only owes his success to himself and his own ability. His career in the Senate (after besting the party's choice), staying true to his constituents and trying to represent what they wanted in congress even if it incurred the wrath of his party's leadership, or before that, as solicitor general of Texas or a law clerk to Chief Justice Reinquist, which he got by being an incredibly brilliant law student. pentecostal ritual.jpg

Reminder that Ted Cruz is a Pentecostal and Pentecostals are fucking crazy cultists. Imagine a barn-like "church" in Louisiana, in the sweltering summer heat, with a silverhaired, sweaty red faced preacher in a teal blue suit at the front of the church, holding a live snake in one hand and a Bible in the other, screaming to a congregation of obese hillbillies about the apocalypse. Imagine he puts his hands on some of these fatties as he struts through the crowd "healing" them with his touch, and they fall down on the ground in tears, while he shouts "Hallelujah, the power of JESUS, God Almighty!" The women are crying. The men are dancing a jig. Everybody's holding hands. The choir is singing some black minstrel song that has been re-appropriated as a church "hymn". The preacher is waving that Bible and that snake.

That's Pentacostalism. That's Ted Cruz's religion. Every laughable stereotype the country has about Christians is embodied by this voodoo cult. These are the nuts that even the other nuts laugh at. They were never meant to make it this far into a Presidential election.

Stop pushing this nutjob and his nutty cult.

>In the end it comes down to trust
Yes, it does. And you can trust Ted in the aggregate, on the large scale as to what his intentions are, or seek as shills do to throw into question everything the man does with a mountain of lies and slanders, blow the tinniest inconsistencies in minor policy changes up to overshadow much larger stances, etc.

>There is no trust there and in order to gain trust he just lies or attempts to distort the truth.
No, not really; and Donald Trump's word as a truth teller about his political rivals isn't a sound basis to make that judgment. Especially given his track record or basing his campaign on character assassinations and little else.

>People are not however morons and that's why they go to Trump.
On average 35% of the primary electorate (which includes some portion of cross over votes intentioned to sabotage the Republican ticket) have made that decision, not the bulk of humanity. Most people very much agree that they don't like or trust him, that's reflected in his negativity ratings.

>Trump may change his opinion but he admits it and is very straightforward which is actually respectable.
Come on, now. Trump says things all the time that he denies ever having said, has to explain away other things as being taken out of context or media being 'unfair' to him by highlighting how one thing he'd said didn't match another.

>Do you want someone that you trust
Yes. That's one reason why I support Ted Cruz.
>>

>Plus, even the fucking Soviet Union never had a -9.5% ten year GDP growth rate, or lost 5.9 million jobs, for that matter. This shit is retarded, and I won't support the people who made it.
Bernie Sanders is a disaster, the full implementation of all his campaign promises would be a disaster, and it's not just the Tax Foundation that's saying it.
>>
>>69739731
>Constantly waits for Trump to make the first move before copy pasting his policies
>Then cries about how Trump has no policies
>Fucks bills up to the point were they're unpassable and then goes 'I WAS JUST PRETENDING TO BE RETARDED TO KILL THE BILL'

Sounds like a great leader to me.

More like
>We promise to cut government spending and help develop a free market.
>Except if it's Obama helping our corporate sponsors, then we love government regulation!
>>
>>69739731

Because he's fucking ugly and has a nasally voice. He'll never be president for that reason alone. Trump may not be much of a looker at 70, but he still commands respect with those vocal chords.

Legit response, but I didn't intend to convince you otherwise. If you think the candy man offering free giveaways and new entitlements when the country is in financial peril is just the man the country needs, then there's no stopping you. Only blood in the streets will do that.

Nope. There's a lie.

He's a Bush acolyte, this is well known.
His wife is a Goldman Sachs stooge, who's specialty was focused on ushering in the North American Union.

That's the main reason I dislike the guy.

Not that I meant that there actually would be blood in the streets, only that you'd continue to vote for your own society's destruction in the hopes of that eventuality until your senility . . . or until you wised up.

Ted Cruz is only age appropriate to have worked for the Bush administration, if that's what you mean.

Trump tends to overstate things on purpose and bumble around with words (abortion and h1b being the latest). I'm fine with that. Any republican would have botched the abortion question. CNN would be running with it if Ted was front runner.

character assassinations
>Lying Ted, Trump's a nasty guy
>Trump is an insider, absolutely Halal

>cross over votes intended to sabotage republican ticket
Lots of Democrats are switching to vote for Trump, All the Trade Unions and Minorities

There are people who haven't voted since Bush that voted for Trump in the primary.

Look at him. He looks like a rat. He also has very rat-like qualities. He's a sneak. The funny thing is that his campaign slogan is TrusTed. Which is now the most hilariously ironic campaign slogan in the race.
