Where were you when Tesla made America Great Again single-handedly and changed the world forever?

Brakes warp and fall off car. Door's don't open. Drivetrain is shit.

"The main problem areas involved the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, giant iPad-like center console, and body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks.

Complaints about the drive system have also increased as the cars have aged—specifically for the 2013 model, which was the car’s first full model year."

"Other problem areas include:
Inoperable wipers
Leaking battery cooling pumps
Out-of-alignment trunk and hatchback latches
Persistent wheel-alignment issues"

>Normally these jackets are $200 anyway, aren’t they? I could get any other jacket, but the quality is higher. I don’t have a Tesla already. But I have the jacket because I’m a fan.

>It’s supposed to be a good car. We’ll see it tonight. We don’t know anything about it. It could be terrible, but it’s 100 percent refundable. If it’s a $35,000, so a lesser version of the Model S, I would totally buy it. I can’t afford a $70,000, or a $100,000 Model S or a Model X. If I could, I would buy that. Since I can’t, it’s a $35,000 version of that, less version, so yeah.

>I have a place to charge it down the block.

>Jason Monroe, a software engineer:

>I’m putting a deposit down now, otherwise I’ll have to wait until I’m 40 to get a car. I’m 35. You want to be there first, so you don’t have to wait for the car. It’s all about expediency.

>Who else is better, number one? And number two, it’s refundable. This is like a computer on wheels. A Chevy Bolt? Oh God, no. No. The Chevy Bolt’s like a Compaq, this is a Macbook. That’s the difference.

>Shaya Bodansky, “I’m an artist at heart, but I do web design, software, and technology,”:

>I’m excited for the technology about it, not so much for the value of it. I own a Town & Country minivan, I have five children, and this won’t seat seven. So now I have a problem. I’ll use the 3 for myself every day, and save the minivan for the family road trips.

>You ask why not a BMW, Mercedes? We want a technology company that builds a car, not a car company that tries to build technology.

I think it is a bit of a problem if you have to stop for 1 hour every 3 hours of driving. Yes, if I am 75 years old, I get that this makes sense, but if I am 30 and just want to drive from San Fran to LA, it is a bit annoying, don't you think?

That's an impressive contradiction in terms. The number one reason the US is a "car country" is not due to geographical size, or "independent spirit"

It's because spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle + insurance + parking + maintenance + gas is a perfectly rational, reasonable alternative than spending a chunk of each day locked in a metal tube full of savage niggers.

Every civil government on Earth is pitted against Uber. Every city council, every union, every minister of parliament, absolutely everyone agrees that Uber is an immensely destructive abomination that must be brought to heel or broken up.

Do you believe, for a single moment, that Uber is going to lose? That's Big Government versus Big Business in a no-holds-barred, battle to the death in which Big Government is doomed due to it's own corruption, greed and incompetence.

Catch is you have to replace a battery pack worth 30 grand every 5 years.

Also, it's a brand new company.

Also you aren't really saving the environment. 90% of energy is generated from natural gas, coal or nuclear.

And it's not faster than the cars in its price range (GTR, 911, etc).

And delivery times are estimated at 2 years (my friends family preordered a Model X in 2014, still haven't gotten it yet).

But it's electric and shit. Suck it petrol chumps.

Far more space than any of its competitors
Far less moving parts
Far less cost to repair drivetrain

Autopilot
including many other advanced tech standard with updates coming in all the time
Carpool benefits
Zero emissions

$35,000

Audi A3
0-60 in 5.4 secs
Range 500 miles but uses finite fuel resource
Award winning safety but not a 10/10 in safety
Available right now
Looks like any other car
Costs an arm and a leg to repair

Pretty based that they are taking the Lithium battery industry to new heights.

Efficient battery technology in electronic devices along with developments in solar & magnetic technology will be a large push into the next technological revolution.

It's a shame that people don't give him a lot of credit for this and that the Jews, Muzzies, and even the government interests in the oil industry are against him.

Elon Musk will help Make America Great Again.

Now we just need someone to step up to the plate and take the rare earth metals and Nuclear power industries into American hands.

Subjective. I think the Tesla S looks good, but the Tesla 3 looks actually like a tiny European-Japanese cross-over mini-shit car.

But that is my subjective opinion.

As to your other points, who cares about any of those when you have to recharge the battery 10 hours... or 60 minutes in supercharge mode but then the battery can get damaged.

Not to mention that you shouldn't go below 10% charge so the battery doesn't die and if you put on the heating or airconditioning, the range goes down to 150 miles, so the effective range is somewhere in the 120-130 miles range in the summer and winter.

Hey remember the Tesla Roadster? How it broke down on the Top Gear track? Remember how the Model S can't lap the nurburgring ONCE because it ran out of juice.

And there's hundreds of other problems to be expected from a new auto manufacturer:

We haven't even begun to compare them. Musk dick riders only talk about acceleration because that's the only thing Tesla is good at.

Let's see how 5000lbs affects EVERYTHING ELSE THAT MATTERS.

60-0 braking is 113 ft. That's TERRIBLE. A fully loaded S class will stop faster than that.

0.91g on the skidpad. That's about the same as a Honda Civic.

Top speed: 130mph LOL A 90s Corolla will go faster than that.

It's acceleration and that's it. Everything else is way below average.

tl;dr Organized Crime.

To become a Taxi Driver you have to belong to a city approved Taxi Company. They charge you membership fees. You also have to fill out lots of paperwork and thus processing fees with the city which cost hundreds of dollars.

Uber actually isn't that great for the driver though desu since you have to pay for all of your own repairs and gas. And those will add up faster than people think when you're driving 100+ miles every day.

Electric motors are the new turbos. They are really decent. However, it's EVs that I think are really overrated right now.

>Already fulfilled in the Model S P90 Ludicrous mode and Model X as well

Yah. 10 grand for unlockable DLC. Sweet man. Do you realize how much faster the competition is? And how many more options and reliability you can get with them?

>If you want a race car, go buy a race car.
You haven't a clue what you are talking about. If you advertise a product as performance, you better get performance. And you dumb lemmings don't help it either. "OMG SO FAST, OMG MODEL S JUST BEAT AN M3." Well I should hope so, it's double the price but 1/4th the performance. "DUDE ITS NOT A PERFORMANCE CAR GO BUY A RACE CAR." Okay. "BUT CHECK OUT HOW MUCH FASTER THE MODEL S IS." Here we go again. Lmao braindead.

Bullshit.

>production of the battery does the most pollution
>power out of the outlet most likely to be made in a coal burning plant
>inb4 muh power is made by solar panels

Producing solar panels also pollutes the air.

You might aswell walk and hold every fart in, also you shouldn't breath, since it also pollutes the air.

Leafs are so jelly they have to make up shit again
>>
Guys.

Couldn't you make a hybrid car that is primarily electric, but, unlike other hybrids that use a small petrol or diesel engine to recharge in a pinch just use a turbine engine instead for that use?

Far as I know turbines will burn just about anything and the main reason they aren't used in cars is due to their inability to idle at low powers, not an issue if it's only use is to charge a battery.

I can't into engineering though so feel free to explain why it's stupid.
>>
Always when I see a Tesla on the street in daylight, the back lights are always turned off. Why is that?

You mean like running lights?

It might just be a built-in feature which tries to save as much energy as possible by shutting off running lights in sufficient daylight.

In older vehicles you actually had to reach over and turn them on.

PS pretending Tesla's "autopilot" makes it a real robocar (or is anything new, for that matter) is roughly the equivalent of pretending a Roomba is R2D2.

You've never taken a road trip have you.
At 60 mph, 240 miles is 4 hours of driving time.
You'd never want to take this vehicle outside of a 100 mile radius of your home. That number steadily gets smaller the longer you run on the same battery.

By the time this car comes out it'll look old and dated. I don't understand why they put it out there 2 years before SOP.

Tesla takes too long to launch.
