Traditionalism is better. NatSoc/Fascism is just an attempt to romanticize traditional culture in a modernist political setting.
Could someone to me why fascism and nationalism return to todays politics? When a gov thinks of its own people first, shouldn't it have more unity and pride for ones country?

I respect Germans and the National Socialist movement but they had borderline delusional theories on race. It's obvious the differences between human beings isn't limited to skin, hair and eye color.

Tribalism brings with it a tendency towards war, which is the exact opposite of modernism/postmodernism: survival of the fittest in any fashion. That's why NatSoc is a modernist political theory, because of its "socialist German workers party" aspect, the only thing people like about it here is the "national" part, and that's also the only thing that sets it apart in 20th/21st century politics.

For me it was a realization of multiple issues
1. Social decay and the need to repair it, liberalism, libertarianism, democracy, none of these will fix the issue (likewise we have extensive laws against speaking out against it)
2. Identity and culture, we've lost it to pop culture, consumerism, greed, and neo-humanism. What is Canada? Who are Canadians? There is a deeper relationship to us with the land and our countries but rampant consumerism and media has distracted us from it. The Nat-Socs understood the importance of the relationship one has with the land.
3. Lies- such as Israel being out greatest ally. Israel stole our nuclear secrets, spied on us, have lobbied for our tax dollars to where they control our middle eastern foreign policy, bombed the USS Liberty, sold our tech to the Chinese. This stripped me of my neo-conservatism, this also broke my anti-racist programming that blinded me to their machinations

So you're a traditionalist, not a National Socialist. All of these problems are cultural issues: identity, purpose, norms, etc. I'm willing to bet you wouldn't support hanging Jews/homos/blacks/Hispanics/Muslims. Nor would you support nationalized industries, pension programs, and other socialist platforms. But you do want a return to classical ideals of national identity and social norms. Right?

You can have traditionalism and even fascism and be a multicultural state, early Fascist Italy wasn't race dependent but more culturally Italian. You can even celebrate various ethnicities within your country as long as they contribute and aren't degenerate.

The problem with communistic society
people receive the same amount of benefits and are expected to work the same time. A doctor, whose job is very important to society, decides to work very hard but receives the same as a bartender, who does not have to work as hard. the doctor gives up on working because he views that it is futile to work hard as he will receive the same amount that someone who doesn't work hard does. he stops working and continues to receive benefits of the gov.. this influences other very hardworking citizens to stop working for the same reason the doctor did. the economy slowly declines until it eventually dies from lack of production.

The problem with communism is it strips you of everything, personal identity, faith, culture, values, beliefs, art, history. This is why Russia turned into a depressing shithole after perestroika and China turned into a cultureless consumer driven shithole after opening up.
