I don't much go in for conspiracies, but do you not think it's weird that we could be on the verge of leaving oil dependency for regular transport and coincidentally, electric cars are often the source of mockery?
I really could not give a fuck if I had to charge my car every whatever amount of miles instead of doing basically the same thing with petrol.
>>
>>69673090
It's a great car. Teslas are the most common car here, because we need something functional that can handle harsh weather.
>>
>>69673924
Electric cars are still in R&D to be honest.
With the exception of the Tesla Model S almost every electric car on the market today is not worth its price.

To low radius, not enough spaces to load it in public.
The new Nissan Leaf can get you 250km (they say)
But the previous one could only get you 199km.
Thats just to low to be real.
Road trip to the family, or if your job is like 70km away its gonna be a bitch
>>
>>69673924
>electric cars are often the source of mockery?
Only in America because Americans are afraid of change. Here in Norway everyone buys them because they can travel quite far and they are cheap to buy and maintain. All parking spots usually have chargers as well so we get free recharges. Great cars, super comfortable and fun to drive. Everyone has them here, even farmers.

The Gigafactory they built can produce the same ammount of lithium ion batterys as the rest of the world combined.

Is there any doubt that Elon Musk is a Jew?

If it wasn't for the billions of dollars of low interest loans and subsidies, this company wouldn't have a hope of existing. Don't even get me started on the billions of dollars this company gets in free advertisement from the media touting this guy as a genius.

5 billion in subsidies and the owner of the company says the company won't turn a profit until project 2020

That means if the company ever makes a profit, it will not have made a profit for SEVENTEEN YEARS. And it's the company PROJECTING a profit of unknown value.

>>69673007
Tesla is not competitive without government support and even with that they do not make up a significant part of new car sales. There is nothing to fear about Tesla only that they will steal more money from us through the government. Fuck Tesla
>>
>>69674367
That's a good result for someone who entered car business in XXI century (like actual car business, not maymay hand-made car bullshit)
>>
>>69674367
He bank rolled it himself. He's even complained the the governement about how SpaceX doesn't get any subsidizes

What's a good result?

It's a company that makes NO MONEY. All it does it burn through shit loads of cash; and it will NEVER EVER make enough money to repay all of the cash it has burned and borrowed.
>>
>>69674051

and you have high taxes on oil cars, right?
Or something like that
>>
>>69674165
>But the previous one could only get you 199km.
>Thats just to low to be real.

You could live in Amsterdam and work in Brussels with 199km. You could literally work in another country. It is much farther than you would usually drive without taking a plane.
>>
>>69674514
You're an idiot or a shill. Both those companies get billions in subsidies.

The true redpill is that for every pound of gas you carry with you to burn, you're not carrying the 8 lbs of air it mixes with.

Batteries are the worst technology in the world.

Elon 'Land upside down' Musk
>>
>>69674555
We know this, Musk knows this but he started something great and now everyone else is following in his footsteps. Even if Tesla goes bust, car manufacturers' eyes have been opened to a very real market.

I'm pretty sure their gigafactory was halted or some shit like that.

I was thinking of ordering one, but delivery will probably be in Q3 2019 (Europe).
Also 1k euro just for reservation. You can cancel with full refund. Good strategy for getting lots of reservations and publicity.
>>
>>69675098

It's actually ahead of development times, which is the first time ever in anything related to musk.
>>
>>69675098

Not that super unusual, at least where I live.

Fuck you, you would rather give billions to gibsmedat niggers instead of to the white mans investment in space, science and technology.

As far as im concerned, any government funding is just the budget spending on NASA and space and technology related research

This man made a revolution.
Thanks to him, electric cars will be available and affordable in the coming years.

How are you expecting to keep up with energy demands if you outlaw fossil fuels, coal, natural gas and nuclear under a Comrade Sanders' presidency?

Wind and solar power only!
>>
>>69677168
>This man made a revolution.
In what exactly, hmm?
>>
>>69677168
They're not affordable now. Look at the costs involved from the government in creating them. well over 6 billion dollars in subsidies and counting.

Meanwhile everything about electric cars is a lie. Electric cars are going to need nickle, lead, copper, and many other commodities to be produced. How are these going to be produced without harming the environment?

Just another lie - Trying to confuse the public into thinking that unlimited population growth can somehow be "green".
>>
>>69674367
You are aware that leveraging startups is usually the smart way to go, right? The hard part for most businesses is getting the funds to pull shit off, and Musk did exactly that.
>>
>>69677306
he sells them, and he also affected other car manufacturers.

35,000$ = not affordable?

>well over 6 billion dollars in subsidies and counting.
it's not that much

>Meanwhile everything about electric cars is a lie. Electric cars are going to need nickle, lead, copper, and many other commodities to be produced.
I have no doubt that it will make the technology better and ultimately a better solution will be found.

>How are these going to be produced without harming the environment?
Anything causing damage to the environment, the question is how many compared to the alternative.

>Trying to confuse the public into thinking that unlimited population growth can somehow be "green".
nobody has ever claimed it.
