Why does /pol/ swallow the STEM meme hook line and sinker?
Everyone knows the god tier is politics, philosophy, and history. Why are you wasting your time studying cs, engineering when some Paki/Indian is going to come in and steal your job AND you'll be forced to train them?

It beats asking "would you like fries with that"

CS and engineering skills are great assets in the modern era.
Specialization is for insects. Learn everything.

Fun facts about time ferris,
>he never made his 400 lb deadlift goal
>cant speak another language fluently. Can only get by on basics.
>Still cant play drums
>still works 4+ hour a week
Sad truth is humans are made for specialization. Our society is made of specialist. Not many chefs can nuild a computer. Not many engineers are historical experts. There's simply not enoigh memory in a human brain.
Its sad but true

Also cs pays more than all the other fields you listed so-
Funny I'm in STEM and as long as your are the best among the best you can find lots of jobs easily and if you play your cards right you can be self employed.
Stop being mediocre as indians if you wanna keep your job.

Why don't you make these your hobbies instead of sinking actual money into them?

It's more a lack of time because of sleep and growing old. Not to mention you will forget things you don't regularly use, muscle memory things like riding a bicycle less so.

I don't suck, so I'm not worried about India.
To the broader point, demand for STEM grads grows faster than universities can supply qualified graduates.
Econ 101 should join the god tier

People that call STEM a meme NEVER EVER say where they work and or how much money they make. NEVER EVER. You probably believe college is a meme too.

>Politics as a career
>WHY ARE POLITICIANS SO BAD
Creative and intelligent minds don't want to fuck about in the shit-eating contest of politics.
The whole idea of "Im gunna study politics and be a politician" is part of the same retarded circlejerk faggotry of the humanities "studies." They don't produce anything useful to society, and they keep churning out people who will just "teach" humanities.
You want to really lean how to solve problems? Go into the STEM fields.
>implying knowledge of philosophy, history and politics can get the common man a job nowadays
Unless you go to college because you believe you'll be "enlightened" and exposed to "new viewpoints" because of your experiences there, which is an awful reason in and of itself, due to the insane levels of political homogeneity on college campuses and biased lectures, you can still educate yourself through literature instead of paying an institution to spoon-feed you the writings of Goldstein Shekelberg.

MBA political scientist, working on PhD so I can just retire and be an international relations theory professor part-time for shits and giggles before I'm 40. I'm a VP of Finance at a construction equipment company. STEM are verifiable meme majors. Engineering as a department is a kek farm asking more funding and raises when they literally have zero change in workload, just new projects after the previous is completed. Always enjoy bringing on a hardworking poo in loo at 2/3 the cost when performance reviews come out every year and a greedy engineer doesn't perform anywhere near as well as they say they do.
"Buh-buh-but Indians and Chinks don't do work as well as the people they're replacing." They just stink if you don't let them know cleanliness is mandatory and can't communicate as well, but they get better. Any issues in design Pajeet had is fixed by the hillbillies in manufacturing and quality who know their way around the actual product rather than another Engineer.
STEM a shit. Do a humanity and use it to demonstrate your worth to the market other than being a narrow skill set specialist. Every executive you'll ever have is a humanities major bar the one STEM major who clawed their way out of engineering to head up Manufacturing.
