Hey /pol/acks
What are your views on electrical engineering?

>Falling for the STEM meme
It's not electro-mechanical engineering.
>>69651813
It's cool.
>>69651813
guaranteed career/10
I have a crush on Isaac Clarke. I'm not smart enough to know if it's a good field to go into.
>>69651999
>STEM meme
Wtf man?
Nobody wants to study stem related stuff these days
I'm an EE. Ama
>>69651813
It's a Jewish conspiracy to destroy the white race.
>>69652332
What do you call a CS major?
An EE major drop out.
>>69652332
Really, how is it going for you?
>>69652544
Kek. This is absolutely true
>>69652544
>minoring in CS
>like 50% of my CS1 class is engineering dropouts
>>69652600
>checked
Meh. There are lucrative opportunities out there. Not sure how the job market in your country is.
I graduated in 2013 and an making 72k a year so not too bad
>going into debt to get some useless major that Lil Wang Chong steals all your job while your jew boss gets richer
Kek wagecucks never cease to amuse me
>>69652851
>3 years later
>making the same amount that Chad Thundercuck does with his marketing major while he partied and you spent your best years studying
>>69652544
At least with CS you can be creative, EE is for soulless nerds who only care about paychecks
>>69651813
The world needs electricians.
>>69652973
Honestly, i would find the studying instead of partying more fulfilling
>>69652973
Ya maybe. I pretty much witched majors from business to EE cuz I thought business was boring. I'm saving money now to be able to start my own business in a few years
>>69653343
How difficult was it for you?
>>69651813
Degenerate. Doesn't respect seniority. Field changes too quickly. Prepare to be replaced by a new grad in 10 years.
>>69653522
That's CS you're talking about
>>69651999
EE is being subjugated by more specific degrees in a lot of careers and all the EE specific jobs are full of Boomer fucks and their kids who refuse to retire or die off.
It has nothing to do with STEM in general
>>69653608
T. Father is an EE who worked with PMC Sierra in R&D
automatable tier
>>69653522
doesn't respect seniority
My dad has a masters in EE and 25 ish years of working in the field, he didn't have any trouble finding a new job when his company got bought out.
>>69651813
The military-industrial-complex will not slow down in this country. It's the fucking USA. There will always be work for engineers here. There are bombs to be invented, guns to be designed, armor to be powered, and drones to be built. We will be working on the forefront of the industry, pushing forward the cutting edge of technology, and the work we do will shape the future. What a time to be alive.
>>69652264
Bruh everybody felt for the stem meme
even me, fellow guanaco
Don't fuck up or you can die or kill someone then everyone will hate you.
>>69651813
No engineers.
You come out, your shit is gone.
>>69652332
Should I do EE + CS or SE
>>69654210
Glorious!
Now all I gotta do is go back to my stupid physics homework.
Ugh I don't know how most of you guys do it!
EE major here
>>69654523
This fucking guy gets it
>>69652332
how many girls in your class?
>>69654615
Just remember what you're working towards.
STEM majors are full of more freaks the harder they get. My physics classes were full of complete idiots and Im leaving my physics major and going to try CS, if that doesn't work then im majoring in history.
>not just dropping out of highschool and becomming a neet
fucking plebs, I'm busy learning essential skills to help me survive the collapse of civilization
>>69654973
$$$$$
>>69655415
>>69655355
In fact knowing engineering would be very helpful in that type of scenario
I have EE and CENG B.S. with minors in math and CS, what do you want to know?
>>69652973
>Implying engineers don't go into management
If you are an autistic, then yeah, your pay will be limited. However, an engineer can go into management fairly easily. Over a lifetime, the average engineer will make more than the average business major.
Hell, I made $150k last year with just 6 years of engineering experience.
>>69657091
Engineers manage engineers m8. With zero job growth that honey hole has already closed.
It's certainly possible and most other engineers are actual retards so it's not hard to get a promotion but good luck ever being principal engineer/director or product development/VP/CTO
Mechanical Engineering is more fun.
>>69651813
How can you engineer something that does not exist?
Sup guys physiology major here, I'm thinking of doing an M. Eng in biomedical engineering opinions?
>>69651813
engineering is a fucking meme that the us government only pushes because it's one of the longer degrees to get so they make more money off of loans
>>69657572
>Longer degrees
I think you are mistaking, it's medicine what you are talking about
>>69657483
Which schools are you looking at? Which schools are good for eng in biomedical?
>>69651813
Get it if you can.
I am phd in chemical engineering. Life is on cruise control now. Don't let these losers hold you back. Engineers have a good life unless you have a shitty artiitud that is.
