I think he's secretly pro-Trump and that's the reason he's still in the race.
Cruz is a paid-off idiot to attempt to stop Trump from getting the needed delegates, Kasich realized this and changed his entire persona to attempt to steal the hard-line conservative votes from Cruz and it's working.
Kasich's entire career has been nothing like his presidential campaign run, he did an about face on nearly every single issue just to appease hard-line conservatives and appear 'moderate'.
