MI was once famous for having the highest concentration of middle-eastern people outside of actual middle-east. For the most part they are high-level professionals. Dearborn is one of the nicest cities in the state, it's also the location of the Henry Ford museum.

UP here but I've spent a lot of time in Dearborn and Detroit. Dearborn has a murder rate of 1 per 100k, while it literally borders Inkster and Detroit which are 40 and 55 murders per 100k respectively. It's an awkwardly safe place and while it looks sketchy, there doesn't seem to be many problems. As long as you follow Sharia and are male you'll be fine (they aren't actually under Sharia law but I won't take my chances and it's not difficult to follow either), there are some really cool stores and meat markets.
In the UP we just have Indians and the Chinese, who get education and start businesses, probably having a crime rate of 0. The problem is blacks being shipped up here from downstate because of "housing shortages", there are literally hundreds of hoodrats on welfare being relocated to cities of just thousands and our crime rate has soared some 5000% recently if I remember correctly. Not many statistics on such a small area.
