China is once again leading the world into the future while the US does nothing except talk & lecture

>The major barriers for the project “are institutional, not technical,”
everything was institutional and not technical before it became technical.

China is once again leading the world on buzzwords and propaganda
>>69602891
Sounds absurd. I believe manufacturing solar panels causes more pollution than natural gas.
>>69602891
Nice but how can this work without better storage and transportation of energy. We really need to push better tech. I am hoping the militaries new fondness for Laserver and rail gun tech makes them look for a battery breakthrough.
>>69602891
Also this just means China wants you to stop waiting for better panels and buy theirs right now.
>>69603309
Good thing no one cares about your opinion.

Lockheed-Martin says they're developing a working nuclear fusion generator that should be readh for sale in a decade. Additionally, the US military certainly is trying to improve energy storage tech, since that's one of the main barriers to exosuits as well.
Imagine a world where India reached its full potential and there was competition between the two rising giants.
What went wrong?

>implying China hasn't already made huge investments in renewables

They can't poo in a loo.
>>69603936
Well yeah, they are the ones living in the waste productions from solar manufacturing
>>69603833
we gave freedom to liberals to debate, and wen't democratically. I believe China is able to move forward because it has an autoritarian government, initially that's what you need to punch through the competition, later democratic government can take over.

You're a fool if you think solar is economically viable on a large scale. The technology is simply not there.
