She sued the oil company after the management refused to investigate the case. The same hidden camera had been used on one other women and the supervisors did not care.
The company would have been free and clear of any legal trouble if they even pretended to do something but now they are fucked.
Instead the company removed the women from the rig and confiscated the footage, and then told her to contact local police after they sent her home. The police said it was out of their jurisdiction for a crime in international waters and they sent her to the FBI. The FBI did not have the footage (the oil company still had it) and they could do nothing. The memory card with the footage is now apparently lost.
This was a pretty big management blunder.
