I was a communist for a short while when I was younger and learning about politics in one of my classes
My teacher did a class experiment where we learned in a communist-like environment, and it was great. I worked hard and my peers were uplifted by it, which was great. But eventually, it got to the point where the class average dropped to an F, which meant we all dropped to an F.
When the experiment was over, I still had hope for a communist/socialist system, and my teacher saw this. He was the kind of man that took great interest in his students, so one day he got me and a couple of other "liberals" in the class and redpilled the shit out of us. He showed us pictures of the massacres that communism and socialism have caused, especially a few choice ones taken of his family who were nothing but bones and starvation at the time.
I took the redpill, but it was hard to change my mindset. I was still an idealist for a while, then I became a pure cynic, and then I became what I am today. If it wasn't for my teacher and my grandfather, I would have become a degenerate leftist who probably would've voted Bernie Sanders because of "dude weed". I owe them so much.
