I see the question of "why is it always a white woman and black man" bounced around a lot. Yeah, part of it is absolutely a planned message to send subtle messages to white women and black men. But the reason this specific pairing is so prevalent is simply because of the leftist thought process:
White male is the default and the oppressors. Women and minorities are oppressed. Blacks are the most prominent minority in America (not largest, obviously, but the loudest and most visible). You buy into the diversity brainwashing and want to change your characters.
Keep the white women the way they are. Women are oppressed, so therefore you get diversity points. Change the white men to black men. Blacks are oppressed, so therefore you get diversity points. Making it white man/black woman isn't as common, because keeping the white man is seen as being less diverse. Black man/black woman is still too risky of a gamble.

Allow me to explain in terms of high school dynamics, since shamefully, that's what so much of this goes back to.
Right now we're in the midst of a culture war between two groups of people who considered themselves smarter than average in high school, nerds and artist-types (the kind who joined drama club or the school newspaper, etc).
Nerds, when they are political (largely they are apolitical) are extremely weird, having spawned the NRX and a large portion of the alt-right movement, as well as a bunch of other, even MORE esoteric political opinions.
Artist-types are overwhelmingly liberal. And until recently, they were sort of the top dog high-school derived intellectual class in America. But with the rise of tech industry, they've been dethroned. Now they have to put up with a lot of the nerd's really nerdy shit being taken very seriously. And they are mad as hell about it.
So where do comics fit into this?
Comics have always been at the crossroads between nerds and artists. They rarely have the technical skills of nerds, and they usually lack the respect of artists.
But, even more recently, they've been pretty much abandoned by nerds. Their sales plummeted well before they did this SJW shit. So, bitter and isolated, they began pandering to the competing intellectual class, the artists, with laughably cucked bullshit. The artists, for their part, are all too eager to win what they see as a victory over nerds, not realizing that comics are already an abandoned nerd colony, dismissed as too stupid and normie. What nerds want to read comics nowadays read manga, which isn't afraid to have sexy women and seriously weird themes.
