Interestingly enough that image touches the heart of the polarization issue happening right now, but it takes it two steps further and makes it retarded.
Both the far right and left are both broken and fucked. This is evidenced by the divorce of true liberals like Sam Harris and Neil Tyson from the PC group, and Trump winning support as a result on the opposite side.

We should create a closed intranet for 2nd and 3rd worlders. They will ruin the internet as we know it in few upcoming years. Out own normies have been quote succesful in changing it but we have not prepared for hundreds of millions of 3rd worlders.
Online games are filled with yuan13481910471 and forums with Pajeet Rahman Alis with their entry level tech gadgets.
Viral videosta used to have few hundred thousand to million views, now some dumb clip will get 100M views on YouTube and double that on Facebook in one day.

They were both kind of right. Certain groups will always choose to deprive us of information while others will allow too much information so something cannot be truly discerned. Democratic governments will go the Huxley way. Other form of more oppressive of governments will go the Orwell way. You can see this if you compare the US and China.
Entertainment doesn't give meaning and purpose. Neither does deluding one's self into religious beliefs as pol suggests, or becoming a bootlicking authoritarian thug and throwing your purpose into following some celebrity. Meanwhile the left only offers petty identity conflicts and power games. The futurologists take the same ancient promises of religion (afterlife of mind uploading, computer god, salvation via STEM) and wraps them in a technological coating.
The reason why we have so many more people and are so technologically capable is singular: oil. We effectively eat oil, as our entire agricultural system is dependent on it. This same source of our power is also turning into our greatest demise, and yet nothing is being done to fix it because politics and society is so retarded.
Pol correctly identifies massive problems with the modern world, but misattributes its sources to offload the anxiety of such a realization and to give easy targets to hate. The core problem is that we have become so technologically advanced in a short period, but culture takes far longer to evolve. Self-preserving social structures, trends, and habits are to blame, but these are nebulous abstractions and not as convenient as hating on brown faces. They're also much harder to fix, and when such fixes are proposed here, pol loves to promote blind authoritarianism in whatever flavor is hot at the moment.

Even your perception of hell is inadequate because you live in one of the most peaceful ages of human history.

Though I must admit I do not speak for Malaysia because you have so many Muslims who seek to kill people who disagree with their faith. This is a war of religions and ideologies it will continue forever if human history is to be believed.
