How is it that you pay federal (and presumably state) taxes, but also qualify for SNAP? Isn't there any kind of cross-referencing between the two administering government departments.
IE, they look up your social security number and see that you declared substantial income on your taxes, thereby making you ineligible to receive SNAP benefits.
