However, in many sources, including wikipedia, we can find, that it was first discovered by british captain John Strong with his trustworthy vessel, HMS Welfare

Being on your continental shelf is not a valid claim. Spain did not hold them when they created Argentina. Furthermore, British citizens live there, and voted overwhelmingly to remain British in a recent referendum.
Face it, the war destroyed the nano-chance you had of legitimately obtaining the islands. You know if you resolve the claim through legal means it will be dropped, so you hold the claim, waiting like vultures until you smell weakness.
What right do Argentinans have to the islands anyway? The people living there aren't Argentinian, and there has never been an Argentinian colony there.

Then France colonised them, then left. Then Britain colonised them, then left. The Spain colonised them. The Britain returned kicked the Spanish off and re-colonised them.
Then the Spanish Empire collapsed and Argentina was created.
